Will UMass, Texas State, UTSA, etc. be in NCAA 13? A recently released trailer shows UMass playing against North Texas at the Patriots' stadium. Can anyone confirm that these teams will be in the game? Thanks.

Only UMass. Didn't see TSU or UTSA or whatever the 4th school will be - GA Southern or South Alabama...?

there are 123 teams in NCAA 13. the 120 from last year(and previous), plus TXST, UTSA, and UMass.

I can honestly say that not since NCAA '06, have I been so excited. That being said, I honestly do wonder if they modeled Texas State's stadium. The Expansion will be done by opening kickoff this year, so I wonder if we'll get the full treatment, or a generic this year and then the full deal next year.

Also, I heard them mention Texas State in the last webcast, I just haven't heard any confirmation they'll be in the game. Just wondering where you heard that TxSt, UTSA, etc... will be in the game.

they said there are 123 teams in the game(120 in NCAA 12), and that South Alabama is not in, so that leaves TXST, UTSA, and UMass as the new teams in. UMass has been seen in a screenshot/video I believe. I believe there was also a screenshot of UTSA and TXST in the recruiting menus that showed their UTSA/TXST tags.

Are you sure Gillette Stadium is in the trailer? I didn't think theyd actually have it in the game..

I attached a poor quality screen shot from the "sights and sounds" trailer. It's not definitively Gillette, but I don't think UMass has a stadium thats endzone seating is that robust.

hmm. I figured they would have mentioned gillette stadium in their webcast. I know they mentioned that they only put in 2 brand new stadiums. I would love to see gillette in the game but I'm guessing it's just a random stadium. But I agree with you.. Ive been to a game at UMass and the stadium isn't that big at all. It will be interesting to see what they do with UMass this year.

You would think it would be easy to put it in the game since its in Madden. But of course there must be some sort of licensing issue.

I don't see why they wouldn't include Georgia State in this game.

Obviously because Georgia State (along with South Alabama) doesn't start play in Division 1-A football until next season, not this season.

I agree, I'd love to see both in there. I'd definitely use South Alabama, but EA just isn't going to put them in until the season they will play in D1-A. It will be something to look forward to next year though.

I'm still not sure why we can't get FCS schools in the game. Don't even need all of them, just the major conferences or at least the ones that schedule FBS opponents. Most teams now schedule an FCS opponent every year, so it is part of the game.

Don't need super accurate rosters or anything either. I know it's not a huge thing, but it was something they had in the game over a decade ago. Not sure why the amount of teams has gone backwards from 12 years ago. I think this would be something that would enhance the game a lot. Especially since a lot of people went to these FCS schools. And yes I know there is Team Builder for that, but I would like to be able to schedule them on my own too.

And since FCS has an easier system to work out, you could also probably build it into Dynasty mode. Start off at a smaller FCS school and have to work your way up to the big schools. Sort of like how they did it in CH2K8.
