    Slow-mo homer

Ok, so we all know the feeling. It's a tense game, you're into the last few innings, the palms are getting sweaty, the strike zone is getting bigger and the meat of the bat just keeps on shrinking.

Then, suddenly, BAM. You swing, the screen changes angle, everything goes in slow-motion as the ball thuds off the bat and into the night sky. The hitter begins to strut down the first base line, and you jump into the air, fists pumping, adrenaline running, the game back in your favour.

Well, this is exactly what happened for me in my Mariners chise against the bitter rival Rangers. Down 5-3 with a man at 1st, 2 outs in the 8th, and Miguel Olivo crushes one. Oh, except as the ball is flying over the fence, David Murphy jumps up, launches himself with the wall and plucks the ball from out of a fans waiting glove. So instead of 5-5, it's still 5-3, and there are 3 outs. Never before have I swore at my console, and i'd hope never again.

Is this kind of thing meant to happen? Because if it is, then fair play to the 2k designers, they really had me with that one

That sounds heartbreaking! I had an awesome slow-mo homer with Brett Pill in my Giants franchise which scored 3 runs and put me 1 up in the 8th against the Rockies, was a tense moment.!

I would have to think long and hard to try and remember a sports game that made my palms sweat. Can't say I'm ever invested in winning to that degree, lol. It's just a game after all.

Now Doom 3, that game made me nervous in a very scary way. And yes, my palms may have even sweated at some point.

Hehe, I may have used a bit of poetic imagery in describing the moment, but the point stays the same. I was robbed!

To be honest I do get pretty excited when I score a goal in FIFA. My poor sweetie doesn't know whether to congratulate me or laugh out loud at how goofy I get.

            Slow-mo homer and win for me (Marlins) last night.9th inning,2 outs,one 1st base,behind 4-3,behind 0-2 at bat.My last chance and bam!Controller vibrates,camera changes,slow-mo kicks in.Win 5-4.Great job 2k.Never had a similar moment.It was intense and I think it's a great feature.There could be a menu option for something like this in NBA2k also with winner shots or buzzer-shots.

Yeah, that's a pretty good idea. Not convinced it should be limited to clutch homers either. Any walk-off hit, or maybe a clutch strikeout even it would be cool to have a small effect like that with some slow-mo or angle change.

I have never faced this problem but that really sucks.

That has happened to me a couple of times too. It's pretty annoying.
