NHL 12 Dynasty Options

I decided that I want to do a Dynasty for NHL 12, it's just that I wanted some people here to have a say in who I pick. One problem, I have someone else picking a East team as well for me to do {outside the forums}. So, I will be releasing a Top 5 by at the latest Wednesday morning. Earliest by tomorrow morning. {Advance time zone, I'm working with GMT 3:30} Busy the next couple of days.

1. Pittsburgh Penguins:
PROS: Playoff Team, Well Developed, Draft Picks Unnecessary.
CON: Short on Wingers to support Crosby and Malkin.
Verdict: No Rebuild

2. Winnipeg Jets:
PROS: Great Young Players, Draft Picks Help Out.
CON: Not a guaranteed Playoff Team.
Verdict: Figured out at Deadline.

3. Ottawa Senators
PROS: Future Playoff Team, Bright Future.
CONS: Scoring is only from Alfie and Spezza, Only "BIG" Prospect is Erik Karlsson.
Verdict: Likely to Rebuild.

4. Tampa Bay Lightning:
PROS: Stamkos = Success, Playoff Team.
CONS: Needs to revamp team, St. Louis and Lecavalier are getting old.
Verdict: Figured out at Deadline

5. Philadelphia Flyers:
PROS: Young Team, Competitive, Playoff Team.
CONS: Jagr is Old. Chances are high to be eliminated in Playoffs
Verdict: Potential Playoff Team.

Well what are you trying to do? Rebuild a team or try to contend right from the start?

Depends on the team that I use, AND if the team if really good, or isn't very good.

what i always try to do is
get 4 left wingers& 4 centers & 4 right wingers (if spares put them on
left & center & Right)

and 8 or 9 Defense

and if i get my hands on a offensive defense men i put him in front of Defensive Defense men : OFD , DD

And Playmaker & Sniper & Grinder
or Two Way Forward ,Grinder,PowerForward
or Tough Guy, Grinder,Powerforward
or Two Way Forward,Sniper,Player Maker

Yeah, I'll typically try to have 4 wingers at max for each positions. Preferably young.

I'd also stick with Winnipeg. If you don't make the playoffs, you can have fun getting more young players in the line-up. Rebuilding a team is probably the funnest part lol.

I have a few teams (posted in my blog and dynasty sections) where I've completely rebuilt them, and it's very fun. I usually don't like taking a contender and destroying them. But I guess it's all preference.

My only advice (not that you asked, but BlackXEyes started it) would be to get 1 stud defenceman and 1 all around centerman. I know you kind of get this with Bogosian and Burmistrov, but drafting them, and then using the 'player training' feature to build them to your preference will give your team the star quality it needs to win a lot!

Yup, looks like the Jets have won! I am doing 10 years with the "Win"nipeg Jets! Let's hope all goes well, I will be posting entry #1 later on today {Saturday} if I can.

I will, I have like a month and a half of school left and half the summer to finsh this up.
