Tip for RDE Pass Rush

I have found a reliable technique that gets DE into a strong pass rush position that involves one single adjustment: the line slant.

Let's say you are trying to get production from your user-controlled RDE. Most of the time, you will be pushed into the next zip code by the LT's patty cake animation, and then you'll be re-patty caked.

I figured out that if you slant the line to the left, your RDE will engage the LT directly, without the big push animation. That allows you to use your moves more effectively, basically leveling the playing field and allowing the ratings to matter. The same works for the other side, though the LDE typically gets his when it comes to rushing the passer.

It's not an ideal solution, but the animations are realistic and the results are good, so it's probably the best you can get without hot routing five people and leaning toward AI exploits.

If this is on All-Pro I doubt it works vs a user (All-Madden leagues). Though the interest is peaked, I may check this out later.

I play on All Madden and strictly in offline franchise mode. All the adjustment does is engage the DE with the OT in a realistic manner. The moves and win/loss are all up to the ratings.

I got you, was just wondering about how effective the moves will be. I was really effective with user rush in Madden 10 (especially at LE), but it's been toned down so much I've had to run more 5, 6, and even 7 man blitzes from time to time. (Strictly user vs user, not into CPU games no adjustments to worry about, it's a bit stale and repetitive to me). Coming from a 2K5 user vs CPU fan. But back then I was just 18 and didn't have the internet so...

I should clarify here--you slant AWAY from the DE whom you wish to engage directly with the OT. So if you want the RDE to engage directly with the LT, you would slide toward the LDE/RT.

I use this only on occasion, while controlling Jason Jones full time, and I have 6 sacks with him in 6 games. I'd say 2 of those cam from slanting. It's not an automatic sack, but it does increase the likelihood of realistic pressure from the end position.
