    The Mountain West Conference Thread

Hey everyone! Here's a thread for the MWC, since there seem to be a lot of fans of teams of that conference on this site. Who do you guys have winning the conference?

    Way too early predictions...

    1. UNLV
    2. New Mexico
    3. San Diego State
    4. Nevada
    5. Colorado State
    6. Fresno State
    7. Wyoming
    8. Boise State
    9. Air Force

Honestly, I'm not sure about the bottom half, but I think the top half is pretty accurate. Fresno could finish higher because of their recruiting class, but the team was still awful last year, so they could easily fall.
NCAA 14 - Eastern Michigan Eagles

Year 1: 11-3 (7-1 MAC) W over NU in Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl

    Year 2: 0-0 (0-0 MAC)

Last Game: 24-17 W vs. Northwestern in the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl

NHL 13 - Columbus Blue Jackets

    Year 1: 1-1-0

    Last Game: 3-2 W @ Minnesota

When did Nevada join the Mountain West?

    2013 and 2015 OS NFL Pick'em Champ...somehow I won 2 in 3 years.

Reno joined when it was still a rumor that BYU was leaving for independence and the WAC, so the MWC purged Reno and Fresno State in a futile attempt to keep BYU in the league.

That said, UNLV and San Diego State are probably the favorites here. Given what is activated from the NCAA's one-year purgatory for transfers. New Mexico will be good, don't get me wrong, but they lose a ton with Drew Gordon leaving. UNLV's recent recruiting class has also boosted the likely that the Runnin' Rebels will be voted as the top preseason favorite with San Diego State close behind.

Also, don't count out Colorado State. Yes, Tim Miles left, but the Rams are still set up pretty well for another berth into the NCAA Tournament.

        Can't disagree except for No.1 and No.2

I'd say that's pretty accurate except I'd move Colorado State ahead of Nevada. Fresno State's new coaching staff did a real good job with an average roster of just 7 players. Brought in one of the best recruiting classes in school history with 4 of the 6 recruits expected to get a lot of minutes. Brought in top 100 recruit 7 foot center Robert Upshaw from Fresno and a transfer from Kansas Braeden Anderson who will be eligible in December.

            REBELS!!!!

The Rebels have to much talent and the only teams that can put up a fight would be sdsu and new mexico on there home courts.
