I may have misunderstood Josh's comments, but is fantasy draft COMPLETELY GONE from '13? Can you still do it offline for franchise??

I can't wrap my head around connected careers... is there anything LIKE offline franchise included? Fantasy Draft?

no fantasy draft is out completely. presumably you could mix up your rosters before you start a new career though I would think. not the same obviously i know

the term offline franchise is dead it seems either career mode is on line in one way or the other if you want them to be

Like Moylan said, you can presumably just do the fantasy draft by mixingup the rosters but unless you have 32 other gamers or want to do all 32 teams, your blank out of luck.

Disappointing. Seems like subtraction by addition. CC better pan out or it could be a real big hit to the franchise.

That's dissapointing. The Cpu logic was pretty bad so maybe for the best but hope it makes a comeback.

Nailed it. If you ever did a fantasy draft, you could easily build an unstoppable team - what's the fun in that?

Regardless, still sucks that they took it out. I can understand why though. Not that big of an issue in my book.

Roommate and I would do fantasy drafts where no one in the initial draft or free agents pickups on our teams could be over a 69 overall rating and then try to rebuild them through player progression and future drafts. It was a lot of fun. I will miss that this year.

Well, if we can trust anyone when the say "next year" it's Josh Looman who has always delivered. While he didn't promise fantasy draft for next year, he said that is one of the things they want in connected careers that they were not able to get in for Madden 13.

I know Madden 14 feels a long way away when Madden 13 hasn't even come out yet, but potentially only having one year without the feature is tolerable. More so when you are in my shoes and had to wait from Madden 07 to Madden 12 to get a decent franchise mode in the game.

Remember, I am the guy who wrote the Madden 09, 10, and 11 fantasy draft primers. I would have written the Madden 12 one ,but didn't get the game until Feb.

I am going to miss it, but can live without it.

I don't mind fantasy draft being taken out mostly because they gave a fairly legitimate reason. Its not like with multiple team control where the reason was the stupid UI.

Pretty shocked that they took this out of the game completely, always enjoyed getting my favorite players on a team and really "building" my team. Really hope CC is great because this could be a huge letdown if not.

Although I usualy play with real rosters its a bummer that fantasy drafts are gone
