Re: Kotaku's Hands on Impressions of Madden 13 and the Infinity Engine
That's really good. It pretty much means that they're still working on it quite a bit which they should be a full 2 and a half months out. I really like that it's still alpha because it's already looking pretty damn impressive and it's only improving. The demo will probably be a beta build from early to mid-July and it'll probably go gold alongside the demo's release in early August. Those are all just predictions but they should be pretty accurate.Chicago Bulls | Chicago Bears | Chicago White Sox | Chicago BlackhawksComment

The code won't be finalized until December.

My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10
3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.Comment

I'm no expert on these kinds of things but I'm pretty sure that's a good thing seeing as how that means they're still doing a lot of improvements on it. And if you ask me I'd rather all the glitchy nonsense be after the play as opposed to during the play so this article made me pretty happy.Comment

Just worried they might have to rush and miss a few bugs.. but I got faith in EA this year, they have earned it, IMO.Comment

Re: Kotaku's Hands on Impressions of Madden 13 and the Infinity Engine
I'd think it was the other way around. The game's being released August 28th no matter what, if it was already in beta that would mean it's pretty much ready to go and just getting a good polishing. Still being in Alpha would mean there are some major bugs they are trying to work out and the closer we get to release the more chance those major bugs will pop up in the final product.I'm no expert on these kinds of things but I'm pretty sure that's a good thing seeing as how that means they're still doing a lot of improvements on it. But wouldn't we have heard of any major bugs from the reviews or seen it on the E3 videos? I'm hearing more about the post play glitches than anything else.I'd think it was the other way around. Not necessarily. It could be any number of bugs, might not even involve game play or hte new physics at all.Comment

Re: Kotaku's Hands on Impressions of Madden 13 and the Infinity Engine
It was released at the same time last year. Anyways, I'm not sure what the guy meant. Did he simply mean that the builds on E3 floor were alpha? If so that's fine because they could very well be into beta and just had alpha builds at E3. But if the game is just in alpha stages, there are gonna be some big bugs in this years game.Originally posted by at23steelersIt is releasing 2 weeks later than before, so not sure if that's a reason; might go to beta 2 weeks later than the years with Ian at E3. It does give some more hope than prior years about larger fixes still happening, possibly something like footwork and in-between plays being tuned. It also brings worries about smaller fixes not being fixed in time.Comment
