Worth a buy at $39.99?

I read nothing but problems about this game and how their patches have jacked the game. I have actually held off buying and have not played this years version. But, Amazon and Walmart have it for $39.99 I am wondering if its even worth the cost.

The only problem I've had is that you will look ov at the clock and it will be 2 in the morning! Happens every night, and you wonder where that time went! Luckily I'm on summer break!

Totally agree! Luckily I had $45.00 in traded in games, and 10.00 in gift card from when I traded in a game for Christmas, because it was half off at bestbuy! I only had to pay $3.00!!!

Easily worth $40. I havent had any issues with the patch my self... i guess some people just had bad luck

I dont play online much but my franchise with the Astros is the most fun ive ever had playing a videogame.

Most of the problems people are having with the patch in their franchises, is because they had a franchise going when the patch came out. I haven't really heard of anyone that started a franchise post patch and had alot of problems. It was just the people that had existing franchises and tried to use them post patch. So with that said, it was worth the pick up at $60.

The patch fixed every problem I had, with both game modes I play (Franchise, and Diamond Dynasty.)

I paid $59.99 probably six weeks ago and would do it again without a second thought. I had played right around 13 full seasons between franchises with MVP 2005 and the mods after it for it (up to 2011 Mods) -- and retired the game with the plan to play this for the next five years. I'll buy the updated games, but I am fully confident to play a franchise in which I play every pitch for ten years.

That's how worth it this game is. And, I'm almost 34 -- so this isn't the words of some young fanboy. It's worth your hard-earned money, friend.

This was absolutely my problem... I had a 1.6 franchise, and was encountering freezes. Stayed encountering them, with a few new fun ones with 1.21.

I restarted a franchise under 1.21, and played 10 full games with zero issues, so I'm now starting a 10 season dedicated franchise. Just so happened they fixed what was bothering me in DD to boot, icing on the cake. These developers care.
