Anyone disappointed in the sounds of the demo?
My biggest disappointment is the sounds of the hits.... they don't sound like pads hitting each other. The crowd sounds the same as last year and there's no grunting or yelling that goes on every play.... your thoughts.....

I just wish that they would incorporate the bands more during the game.Comment

Re: Anyone disappointed in the sounds of the demo?
I really hope so. You can hear a better crowd sound but it isn't loud enough...especially when you're on defense on 3rd downs or defending the goal line....the crowd should be hyped up during those scenarios.
I was pumped when they announced that they were working with the FIFA sound crew - one of the sterling parts of FIFA is the crowd. Here's to hoping that the demo is not what we will get with the retail release.
And on a side note - enough with the "d-fense" chant on 3rd downs. This is college football, not NBA basketball.....3rd downs result in a cacophony of yelling in a college stadium.Comment

Re: Anyone disappointed in the sounds of the demo?
I think extra attention should be payed to the sounds when your choosing a play. I've noticed even in the Madden videos when people are picking plays, the arenas are totally quite.
Just some crowd chatter or chants would help....or advertisements.Florida State Seminoles
Atlanta Braves
3 national championships 3 Heisman Trophy winners 16 ACC Championships 14 straight AP top fives
2014 BCS National ChampionsComment

Re: Anyone disappointed in the sounds of the demo?
crowd reaction is awesome. compared to 12, i think the game sound is much more powerful as it sits."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

Re: Anyone disappointed in the sounds of the demo?
I can't believe how good that still looks. I'm surprised. Pumped up crowds was always one of the things I loved on the Xbox/PS2 versions. I don't get why they killed them. I hope crowds are a lot louder on the full version.Comment

Re: Anyone disappointed in the sounds of the demo?
I think the crowd sounds were incredibly disappointing, and not just the volume (which I assume is at 50 in the Demo). The situational crowd noises seem off. At home as USC, I was getting a ton of crowd noise in the red zone on offense but when Oregon was in the red zone and I was on defense, it was dead silent.
Some of the new situational sounds just seem off or poorly timed. I also had a few instances of both interference and unnatural echoing. The echoing sounded like the sound file was started up twice, back to back. It was about a half second delay. It just sounded off. The interference has happened twice for me, both during the LSU-Alabama game. It just sounded incomplete.
I'm not impressed with the sounds, but I'm not worried about them volume-wise. I also adjust field and stadium sounds to 100 and commentary to 0. Helps a lot.Comment

Re: Anyone disappointed in the sounds of the demo?
Last year both NCAA and Madden were very quiet in terms of volume. I had to turn up my receiver up louder compared to other games like mlb the show and nba 2k. And sadly so far I have to do the same thing while playing the NCAA demo. The crowd noises feel soft.Comment

Re: Anyone disappointed in the sounds of the demo?
I hope that's the case.....because I would do the same thing with '12 and it was the same thing (mediocre sound when you're on defense compared to prior generations).
When you add in the commentary ("The student section is going crazy......this stadium is coming alive") it is tantamount to a glitch. It's the same as if Nessler said "The QB heaves it deep" while you throw a 2 yard dump-off pass.Comment
