Are we stuck with Online Association?

In every iteration of the 2k series since the dreamcast days we had Online leagues with full Website component. In 2K12 2K re-invented the wheel, and came up with a square with Online Association. This was the main reason I returned the game (crew was the other). Online association gave no options to the commissioner of the league it was a logistical nightmare for anyone trying to run one.

On 2k11 the Commissioner could do everything from advance the schedule, to placing Free agents on the other members teams.

For those who weren't aware of the Online Leagues website component let me explain:

    Online Leagues
    • Every League you created there was a sister website that accompanied it on 2ksports.com
    • from that leagues website you could edit the front page
    • Every stat could be traacked
    • Separate forums just for your league members
    • Team pages
    • Trades offered/Made
    • You could track every game in real time (Just Like NBA.com Game Channel)
    • reset games, grant wins, Losses
    • create Playoff seedings
I am most concerned with 2K picking up a bad habit from EA, giving us something, then they take it away. I don't want to play with the computer, if I did I would play offline Association. The Point of Going online is to play against humans without having to invite them over, and have them eat all my cheetos.

I am seriously hoping that someone from 2k sees this thread.

OA has been a huge huge huge disappointment.

Bring back regular leagues where we had more options.

Oh, and NBA2k.com is an epic failure. We used to be able to 'watch' games in progress, add FAs, edit league pages etc... All of that vanished into thin air. So disappointing. Seriously who makes these decisions to remove features that fans love?

There is no reason on earth to go to NBA2k.com it's a joke of a website. The Online Leagues function on 2ksports.com where you could see every league created, search out leagues, look at their graphics was incredible. I can't tell you how many guys I helped get their gamertags linked so they could participate in the true Deepness of online leagues.

I can guarantee you this, no online leagues, no crew, no purchase from me. You can't give me a steak for $65.00 dollars one day, then give me mystery meat the next day for the same price. I'm smart enough to say no thanks

I think this is the problem, most people didn't even know about the Web Component of the Online Leagues. Just played them using the system as it's hub. Now if you go to 2ksports they won't even show the leagues anymore.....crazy

Yea, OA was a huge stepback in online leagues gaming. I totally agree with you. I hope either 2k bring old online leagues back to game or they need HUGE upgrades to Online Association...or atleast fully customizations to GM's. The funny thing is that they've promised fully customizable OAs on 2k12 but it was nowhere near to it.

I wouldn't mind Online Association as long as they gave as many options for the commissioner as they did for every iteration of online leagues in the past. Plus the ability to block computer trades... And don't forget Website Companion to run our leagues on.

I'm glad he's doing it. Online Associations are completely broken and no one from 2K will talk about it or respond to inquiries in regards to it.

Mode is broken and needs to be acknowledged.

Only play offline Association (where it's been five years since any fixed issues lol) but I have tried Online Association and it wasn't even playable so I understand why you're bumping these threads, especially since they haven't mentioned anything about it in NG.
