    Who should I start as Notre Dame's QB?

    Guessing about 95% of people here wont care about this thread in the slightest. Either way, who should I start at QB for ND in my online games? This is the first year that ND is good enough where I can roll with them online. Ranked online games are by far the thing that I am most into in NCAA, and I was ranked top 5 two years ago at the end of the summer before I got burnt out, and was top 100 last year as well, so it is something I take somewhat seriously. Rees is an 87, Golson is an 86, and Hendrix is an 86. Here are their important attributes broken down:

    Rees, 87 overall (#11): Throwing Accuracy (91) Throwing Power (83) Speed (76) Agility (67) Acceleration (77) Awareness (79)

    Golson, 86 (#5): Throwing Accuracy (80) Throwing Power (88) Speed (88) Agility (76) Acceleration (71) Awareness (83)

    Hendrix, 86 overall (#12): Throwing Accuracy (78) Throwing Power (92) Speed (85) Agility (75) Acceleration (74) Awareness (82)

    I run a balanced offense. As close to 50/50 run/pass as I can. I am out of the shotgun probably anywhere from 30-50% of the time depending on who I am playing. I rarely do any QB-designed runs but I do a decent amount of rollouts and don't hesitate to scramble. I am leaning towards Rees for his accuracy and the fact that this game doesn't realize he runs about a 5.4 40 in real life, but Golson's speed has me intrigued. I would also really just rather not start Rees as I just don't like him as the starter in real life. Any suggestions?

      You should start Rees then use the backup qb package with Golson as the qb in a couple of formations you use. That'll make your opponent pay attention to who's playing and will give you both the "wide open" double threat that Golson brings and the accuracy and pocket presence of Rees

              I personally would play Hendrix. Love his dual threat ability. ND fans seemed to think he was the answer to their problems until they signed Gunner.

                  I'd go Golson. Ability to run and throw it deep with decent accuracy.

                  But if it's not working for you, you can always switch too Rees... I would run a couple practices and work on some of your favorite plays. See how you do with all three QB's, and then pick from there. Don't pick it based off stats, but pick who you feel most comfortable with.

                      Yeah, I was going to go into the Practice Mode for about an hour when I get the game and run some of my bread and butter plays with all three. I was just curious to see everyone's thoughts here.

                          Isn't Gunner Kiel coming in this year? The #1 ranked QB prospect this class? I'd start him personally...

                          If not him I'd start Hendrix and sub in Golston for read option, QB power and speed plays when you need a boost. I'm 90% sure that's what Kelly is doing anyways.

                              Kiel is a 78. His attributes are pretty close to the other guys, but his awareness is super low. I never know if AWR matters for a QB in a user-controlled game or not, but I could see EA doing something stupid like making the defense play at a much higher level against a QB with low AWR.

                                  Why would that be stupid? I wish user QB awareness mattered...

                                      I phrased it weird. I meant as opposed to making the QB himself play at a lower level because of QB AWR, they would just jack up the defense ratings.

                                      Does anyone know if QB AWR even matters in a user-controlled game? Shouldn't the user's decisions essentially count as the AWR?

                                          I hope Rees never sees the field again. It probably won't matter in NCAA, but Rees is TO-prone and never runs when he's in trouble. I like the dual-threat in Hendrix and Golson. I'm probably going to redshirt Kiel, and use Hendrix/Golson with Rees as third string.

                                              Awareness only implies to CPU controlled players and simmed games. It does nothing to a USER controlled player.

                                                      Turnover Tommy should be your 4th string and never step on the field again. One of the most overrated players in the game for anybody who watched ND play last year. I, personally would use Golson. He's a dual threat guy with great speed, arm strength, and has four years of eligibility. Hendrix, although has better passing attributes, is just the poor man's Golson and would be my 3rd string. Everett and Gunner are the future there and the most capable now so they should be one and two.

                                                          According to a post I read by EA Sports Game Changer Shaun Mason at a different website, the only position at which the Awareness attribute matters for - when the player is under user control - is Quarterback.
