picking a team to play with (including the guys who don't play with their fav team), what specific criteria do u guys have? i have this dilemma annually close to release date...i refuse to play with FSU.....i love halfway decent-decent schools that can realistically compete in year 1 ... i refuse to use a complete rebuild job like UTSA...i dont really have any preferences towards conference, allegiances towards certain players, offensive/defensive scheme...but no option/wishbone, etc.....one criteria that's a MUST is being able to recruit...not necessarily 5* guys right off the bat but a strong, promising class i can build off of

If I'm doing a random team, I have to like their stadium and uniforms before I'll choose them. Don't wanna be staring at the same butt-ugly uniforms season after season.

I usually pick a smaller school that is relatively close to where I live and I actually follow in real life. For example, I will be starting a dynasty with San Diego State this year.

understandable but im not a cosmetic guy one bit...as long it's a decent-sized stadium, i'm content

I usually pick a smaller school that is relatively close to where I live and I actually follow in real life. For example, I will be starting a dynasty with San Diego State this year.

considering i live in NYC, i dont have that option unless u count Rutgers who i tinkered with before

What about a school close to Florida State, such as USF or UCF? Or you could go even lower and choose Florida Atlantic or FIU.

USF or UCF would be better options then FAU or FIU recruiting-wise...two nice suggestions

I usually play one Dynasty with an Independent.
I've played many with Army, Navy & Notre Dame over the years,
maybe this year I will play one with BYU.
I'll also tinker with UAB, not that I'm a fan of the real team, but since they're so close to my home, I can't usually resist.

What about Northern Illinois Huskies. Smaller school thats on the rise. Currently they have the longest active winning streak in college football.

I always want to choose Michigan.. since their my favorite.. but always get bored too soon and end up choosing a rival/Big10 Opponet of U of M such as Wisconsin or Notre Dame. However, if I decide to get NCAA 13, which I am still undecided, I am determined to get at least 2 years in with Michigan :

nah no Michigan....if i was to stick in the Big 10, Purdue or Minny would be good options
