Re: Virtual Sports Network Madden 13 Interview with Creative Director Mike Young
it confirmed what some thought was the reason for not having draft classes this yr:
it requires some work to be done in ncaa due to the fact that they have the new storylines and all that in madden to show off this yr. since theres no ncaa data in the classes to support the new feature, it would essentially "break the game" (mike young's words) due to the fact there'd be no storylines and twitter feeds on any of the draftees and they dont want that considering this is their big deal this yr.
other than that, didnt really learn anything we didnt already find out around e3. it was worth the listen to clear up the draft class not being there issue. and based off of how lazy and sloppy ncaa dev team is, it can also be confirmed that they wont be patching this ability in this yr either. ncaa still has broken uniform degradation on white uni's for the 2nd yr now. we know theres no way in hell they will be patching in any storyline info to help madden get draft classes this yr. they wont do that until theyre forced to.Lets Go:

Realizing there have been a ton of articles and interviews since E3 but obviously the answers to all of those questions weren't widely known or they wouldn't have been included in the discussion. There were 2 in particular that EA is having to look into to even be able to provide an answer; 1) Can a coach in a CC franchise place a player on IR in order to free up a roster spot? 2) Does the salary cap in a franchise increase by predetermined values or is it variable?
I don't think many people had heard about the CC website being designed in HTML5 so that it would work better on mobile devices/tablets and having the ability to advance a week by SMS message either.Comment

Do they address Trey Wingo's role? I'm so frustrated as to why they haven't addressed this outright. I've heard he's doing some narrating for draft classes, but haven't heard any elaboration on this.Comment

From what I understand, Trey Wingo will be the NFL beat reporter sending out messages on the virtual Twitter feed with updates on what is happening or rumored to be happening around the league. Believe that Mike said you would even be able to start getting that virtual Twitter feed from in the game sent to your actual smartphone if you opt in for SMS when you create your CC account on the EA site.Comment

Possibly that the developers are running it on a dev system and can just inject new edited rosters into the game files? Strictly a guess but I think that would be the most logical reason.Comment

Thanks for the great find, I still dont understand the CC part of if your a coach and get fired you can go coach another team but what about the players, if you get traded do you get to go play on that team or do you still same play the same team and just have to pick a new person on the team. I also wonder if online and your a coach and have a human player playing positions like QB,WR or so on can you trade them to other teams? This I think would be great or even when your a player and your contract expires to be able to choose if you want to stay or go and join a new team. For instance if you want to be a 2nd string QB and have the starter go down, you play great for the rest of the time then next year your wanted by teams have the ability to move on?NINERS FAN SINCE 96Comment
