UPDATED ROSTER - PS3 (1,000 edits)

Who

I have been editing rosters since NCAA in the late 90's, back when you could only name 12 teams. Beginning with NCAA 05, I began doing roster updates to already released named rosters. A few of these I released on psxsports/earosters.

The last few years I have done less in depth roster edits for myself and select friends. This year I decided to do a deep ratings edit and release it for everyone to use.

What

I just completed a spreadsheet with ~1,000 players on it that I will use to update the default named rosters (I am using a simple named roster with all players and coaches named. The origin is unknown. I'm guessing it was a "paid" roster that is being passed around).

There are roughly 300 seniors, 300 juniors and about 400 combined freshmen and sophomores on my list. All of these players will receive a ratings edit in this update. This will be a great update for dynasty users!

When

I anticipate having this ready for everyone to use by the end of the weekend. I will post periodic updates when I can, but don't expect it to be done before Sunday evening.

Where

I will be releasing the roster update here on OS as well as TSO and TGT. I will have it available to download via an EA Locker as well as a USB drive.

Why

Because I love editing rosters. I don't know why, but it is something I have always loved to do. It is time consuming and a thankless job, but it enhances my game playing experience and I hope it can do the same for others as well.

How

I will be using my spreadsheet only to update ratings. There will be very few (if any) edits to appearance. Ratings are the most important element to a roster IMO. So, that will be the focus of this update.

All of my information was obtained through various sources including draft experts and scouting sites. I will occasionally use my own opinion to rate a player (only if I have lengthy video on them), however, I generally use the opinions of draft experts and scouting services to create my ratings. I figure people who get paid to rank players probably have a better idea than I do. My job is simply to use that information and convert it into a player's rating.

I will let you guys know when it is ready!

Thanks man, will be looking forward to it. My only wish is you bump Taylor Martinez speed up. Does this look like a 84? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21mYR...eature=related

Haha. Not really lol. I would've bumped him up anyway. However, if u want me to look at a rating that is the way to go about it! : )

When you get to Alabama, take a good look at #3 Vinnie Sunseri. He will be starting this year at SS and they gave him a 72 OVR and buried him 3rd on the FS depth chart. The guy was good enough to get PT last year as true FR on the best D in cfb and quickly became a fan favorite. Noteworthy, in HS he played LB and if Im not mistaken, set a record for tackles. He is the son of new Tennessee DC Sal Sunseri and brother of Pitt QB Tino Sunseri. He is noted for having great instincts...........a nose for the ball type.

Thank you for your work.. Please try to edit Miami hurricanes height weight and numbers.. The roster that is being passed around has the wrong numbers on them

majesty95 07-12-2012 03:22 PM

Cal - Sunseri is on my spreadsheet : )

Hooter - boo! Im banning the release in Durham and Raleigh lol

Jf - I will look at Miami but my biggest concern (at least initially) is ratings. Thanks!
