    Onsides Kick

Anybody got any tips for making a successful onsides kick against the CPU? Where do you place the cross-hair on the ball, I have tried everywhere and it never seems to work. I know onside kick rarely work in college football but I didnt know if there was like a sweet spot or something. Also, how about blocking FG's or punts. This happens a lot in college football and I rarely see blocked FG's and I have never, ever seen a blocked punt. Thanks in advance.

I actually got the first onside I tried. Moved the crosshair up and to the left about halfway, full power kick. Bounced right into my hands.

Found this video on youtube of a guy practicing onside kicks in Madden. He puts the cross-hairs at the bottom right and the ball pops up in the air. Maddens' onside kicks are a little different though.

Put the cross hairs at the very top middle with half power.

Very possible to block a punt if you have a team backed up to their own 2 or 3 yard line...if not, impossible.

Onside kicks have a pretty big random factor no matter how you kick it.

In my Texas State Dynasty I actually had a PAT blocked by FCS East school. I laughed. Texas State's place kicker is horrible in this game. He has missed 3 PAT's.

I have only blocked a kick-related event once in any NCAA game over the last 8 years and it was in NCAA 06, back in 2009. Typically "kick events" are my queue to grab another cold one, since they are never controversial or meaningful to a game outcome.

On this punt block I swear the screen paused and flashed a few times before I picked up the ball. I was too stunned that I had actually blocked a kick to perhaps see with 100% accuracy what happened on screen once I did it.

I still have yet to do it again.

                        Re: Onsides Kick

I learned how to do onside kicks watching the load screen tips. If you kick the ball up high with medium power your chances of recovering are increased. I say I can probably do this at least once every 2-3 games.

For Punt blocks I only block when I am all out punt block. If the COM is on their on 5 yard line or less I have a 50-60% of blocking EVERYTIME. Against a HUM they come out in punt coverage and I come out in all out punt block I will block it 85-90% of the time.

                          Re: Onsides Kick

I block about 4 PAT's and about 2 FG's on average per yearly release. But with those there are also alot of offsides. I also recover about 15-20 onsides on Heisman per game
