Keep this on topic and it can stay open. No shots at Paterno or Penn State. If you want to talk about what happened there use the College Football thread.Moderator

I plan to kick Penn State out of the Big Ten and replace them with this teambuildered team to simulate harsh death-penaltylike NCAA sanctions. I gave them Akron's roster and adjusted most of their pitches to simulate a program that would need to be rebuilt.Comment

Re: Are you giving Penn State the "death penalty"?
Well I thought long about what I thought the NCAA might do about it and base my decision on that because I try to have as authentic a simulation to the real thing as possible. Penn St. most likely won't have anything done to them by the NCAA because this isn't part if their legislation let alone 'repeat offender' rule applicable, Penn St. has legality issues and certain individuals will be going to prison, so to answer your question, no, I'm not going to give Penn St. the death penalty. I'm leaving them be.Comment

I haven't decided yet. I'm leaning toward keeping them. But I still have some time, before I start my dynasty, to decide.NBA: Orlando Magic

Re: Are you giving Penn State the "death penalty"?
I'm thinking about adding a teambuilder psu team w a cupcake generic roster and putting them as an independent or doing the same thing by using the real team and turning off the recurring assistance for four years so they will have all walk ons.Comment

Re: Are you giving Penn State the "death penalty"?
I don't think they've really committed any NCAA violations, have they? All the stuff that happened involved kids, not anyone that actually plays football?
What might be a fair adjustment, if you can, is to edit their school rankings for campus atmosphere, program stability, etc, to really poor ones to reflect the negative attention. (I don't know if that is even possible, don't own the game, but if it is that would seem realistic to me.)Comment

Re: Are you giving Penn State the "death penalty"?
Since I play my dynasty in the Big 10, and theyre still going to be an opponent for everyone in the conference this year, I'll be leaving them alone. I may do what some have suggested and replace them with a team builder version of Penn State with edited recruit pitches and stuff to make them "suffer" on that end. But, I doubt it. Seems like too much work.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment
