Announcers not saying names

I download someones rosters, can't remember who, but the announcers are not saying there names. They always say the half back with the big run, or the tight end has over 100 yards receiving with that last catch.

I see all these roster threads, some say names only, others talk about templates also. Is that the problem, do I need a roster with templates also for them to say there names?

I've always gotten rosters in the past from someone on this forum and it said there names instead of position. Maybe NCAA 13 doesn't have this feature, I know it sucks not hearing guys names. Thanks

I was experiencing this as well in the "play now" games when I first downloaded rebel-fan's roster, however, I started a dynasty last night just to kill time before the OS Community rosters come out, and for the first time I heard Brad say some names. So, without more playing I'm not sure what this means but I definitely heard the names in my dynasty game.

I think since the commentary is meant to be said with no names, that's why. I've noticed they work around not saying the actual name because they don't have the actual name in the game.

If it is the same as in the past, the announcers will say the names of players that match names that are automatically generated in the game. Simple names such as Jones, Williams, etc. will more than likely be said in the game, since these names are used when the game generates names. Odd names (Tebow, for example), will not be said.

usually someone scraps out a long list of all the names but right now i havent found one

With him being a Heisman Challenge player, even though he's Game Stop Pre-order DLC, I think they would have his name in the game, so this might be a bad example, Mathieu might be a better one, but then I haven't done Heisman Challenge yet, so I don't know. lol

I have heard names...but I would say in some cases, it might not be a good thing.

Playing with Texas Tech... They tried to say Doege (92 rated, impact player QB) Nessler pronounces it "Day-Gooey" (it is "Day-Gee")

Everytime you let the game auto generate the names, all of them will be said during the game. Since they are already "pre arranged" to the lack of names in the game. So if you take some Upshaw, White, McDaniel or any other name that you could find when NCAA generates the name, they will be said. Otherwise they wont be. Work basically like that.

I know last year it said names 90% of the time, this year I haven't heard anything. I'm in my second year of dynasty, and it says no players names.

you know how long it would take Kirk and Brad to announce every single last name imaginable? more obscure last names (like anything that ends in -ski or -wicz) are probably not gonna be in.... common last names, or last names of star players ("Smith", "Jones", "Thomas", and even "Mingo") will be included..... they record some last names, just not all of them.... goes along the same lines as to why not every player on your favorite team is on the roster in-game..... they simply can't include everyone or everything....

Odd names (Tebow, for example), will not be said.

Tebow has been said in the game since at least NCAA 11..

you know how long it would take Kirk and Brad to announce every single last name imaginable? more obscure last names (like anything that ends in -ski or -wicz) are probably not gonna be in.... common last names, or last names of star players ("Smith", "Jones", "Thomas", and even "Mingo") will be included..... they record some last names, just not all of them.... goes along the same lines as to why not every player on your favorite team is on the roster in-game..... they simply can't include everyone or everything....

I understand not every name will be in the game, for me NO NAMES are being said. Last year it said 90% of the names for me. I use the Razorbacks, and it doesn't even say Davis for our HB. If Davis isn't a common name what is?
