    Uniform Numbers

Since we can't edit a player this year does that mean we can't even edit what number their uniform is? So if I lets say trade for Tim Tebow and the game puts his number as 24 I can't change it to 15 like it is in real life? If that is the case then this game just keeps getting worse and worse.

Players don't always get the numbers they had on their old teams. And I don't think the game would give players numbers that aren't numbers their pos. uses

I doubt they would give him a 24 with him being a QB, however if you are the 49ers and you get Tebow nothing will stop him from getting 16; the very thought such is a good reason to reboot the machine.

he wont get a # in the 20s but i see your point. not every player gets to keep their number IRL when traded. Some even buy the numbers from the current players.

I had a Linebacker who was tall and had a no. 2 jersey.

From what I understand you are exactly right. What's worse is that if your team has a player with a retired number say for example 16 for Montana on the 49ers. Then the team drafts a player and he takes 16 you can't change it.

I could live with it if the game respected retired numbers.

Trent Dilfer wearing John Brodie's #12 is one of the few [and only] examples I can think of... and he was given permission.

What happens if im the Jets and i trade for Dwayne Bowe now Hayden Smith the Australian guy who prob will never start gets to wear #82 and Dwayne Bowe has to settle for #87 or 89???? That would NEVER happen!
