Does anyone know if the other helmets NCAA 13 has for the Irish turn "brown" once the lights go down and it's a night game? I played my first this evening and if it wasn't the middle of the night I'd jump back on and test it. I had heard of this issue, but just saw it and it looks terrible. Dim lighting of night time apparently makes the ND helmet mud brown, despite the fact that stadium lighting in real life dazzles it up since it's (now) reflective gold (not a big fan of that Kelly move, but whatever). You have the choice of the goofy gold one with the shamrock on the side or something called the ND 2010 or something like that. I was just wondering as I head to bed if anyone had played ND and found the other helmets to not go mud brown? It's REALLY distracting and ugly as crap. The game's graphics are beautiful, but that's a major error in my opinion. Yes, it's just helmets and I'm being OCD...but it's awful looking. Thanks for the input.

It's annoying, but for now, I'm using the helmet "10 Gold" and it doesn't seem to have that brown effect when the sun goes down and lights come on. -

It's not that bad...
I think it's caused by a filter EA is using. It's just made worse when the helmets are gold. I played Oklahoma State last night and they had their flat black helmets on but at times they appeared brownish too.ALL THINGS DALLAS

Compared to how they look in real life.
The in game ones are pretty bad.
Honestly if they would have just gone with the same "shine" as the Shamrock series helmets but removed the "scales" on them...that woulda been pretty spot on.
It seems like the issue across all the night helmets is that they have the stadium light "reflection" setting or whatever set too low. The stadium lights don't *pop* off the helmets like they should.Last edited by OldHossRadbourn; 07-23-2012, 12:41 PM.Comment

As someone who has seen the helmets in person, I can tell you that as great as they look on television, they look 10 times better in person.
