Madden 13 - Conference Alignment

So I know in NCAA Football games you can realign conferences in dynasties. Will you be able to make any division or conference realignment in Madden 13? Me and some friends are going to do an online franchise, and we want to balance out the conference so we don't have all the best users playing in the same conference. I want to see the best two players/teams in the Superbowl, not the Conference Championship game.

I doubt the NFL will allow EA to do that and put that in their games. I think it would be a great idea and would be nice for fans to have a throw back to the old division alignment. I would love it to be honest, I would love to re-new the Ravens-Titans Rivalry and make the AFC North a better division.

It's something that I think would be a great idea on paper, but I just don't think the NFL would allow it.

Madden and NFL 2k used to have that feature to make custom divisions

True but most likely the NFL put a stop to it, which is why I said while this would be a great idea, the NFL just won't allow it. In NCAA games, it works because teams move conferences more frequently than NFL teams move divisions.

I think the OP needs to put this idea into the Wishlist Thread for Madden 14.

I doubt the NFL prohibits such an option, rather I see no reason why EA would work to include this. 99% of players aren't going to use a feature like that, and hence it is just taking up code space. People want the game to be as realistic as possible, so that is what the Madden Team is doing...

True but why not make it a Offline option? Similar to modifying rosters, you can modify your divisions before going into a Connected Careers but you just can't take your modified Divisions Online. You can play with it offline as much as you want but Online is a no.

I dislike the idea of EA reverting to separating the two communities (On/Offline) again after coming out and saying that they didn't want to do that anymore with a everyone-gets-everything approach in Connected Careers. I'm in no way implying I wouldn't be up for the option, but not as a on/offline exclusive.

True but what made Offline and Online different was the User Control difference. While I totally understand the reason for not being able to take a modified roster(Super Mario on Buffalo, Manning in Denver) into Online, it would also be unfair to try to take a Modified Divisional Alignment into a Online CCM as someone else may have the division alignments different than the other user.

If I'm offline, why should EA care what I do with my Offline CCM. As I have said, I think this Division Alignment idea is great but just that I don't think the NFL will allow it but if I'm in an offline Franchise and I move the Jaguars to LA and decide to move them to the AFC West to compensate for them being in the West Coast and move another team to the AFC South, I should be able too.

Wow i never thought about such a thing until the op made this thread. This would be awesome when youre like 13 years into a cc and want to switch things up a little bit. Would be a nice addition and i dont think the NFL would prohibit it
bc they only prohibit things that shed a bad light on
the league, such as suspensions or tattoos(smh).

Just for arguments sake. If EA did incorprate this feature, that I would guess less than 10% of gamers would use, there would be about 2% of people posting how they like it and a lot more saying
"EA DOESN"T GET IT! THEY WASTED TIME ON THIS AND DIDN'T WORK ON GETTING CO-OP OR ADDING TO FRANCHISE MODE!!! THEY HAVE NO CLUE!!"

They will never make everyone happy, no matter what.

theoretically, it would be much better to include fantasy draft next year in an effort to balance out online CCs.

Can you explain a little further? I'm a little confused how it would balance out the talents of you and your friends. I mean I understand what your talking about but just don't get how moving teams out of divisions would balance out CC. Wouldn't it be easier to just split your friends up in both conferences to equal up the talent for CC? 5 in the AFC, 5 in the NFC?

Okay Im pretty sure I can make this where you can understand it.

Say there are 10 teams chosen:
1. 49ers
2. Lions
3. Packers
4. Giants
5. Eagles
6. Broncos
7. Patriots
8. Ravens
9. Texans
10. Steelers

That is 5 teams in each Conference.

So we are all friends and have played Online Dynasties on NCAA Football since NCAA 09 I think. We all know who the harder and easier users are. Take myself for example, I've been the only one to win the National Championship game in our Online Dynasties. I don't win it every year, but I know that I am better than everyone else. I plan on taking the 49ers.

I also know who my biggest competition is. Two of my friends can occasionally give me a good game. They want to take the Eagles and the Lions. That right there is the 3 best users that play the game in the same conference. What I was wanting to do is switch the teams around conferences so that one conference won't have all the better users in it, while the other conference is kind of a cake walk. I want the two best users/teams to be in opposite conferences so they will more than likely meet in the Superbowl. I dont want four not so good users and one pretty good user in the same conference, that is to easy. I want each conference to be competitive and even with talent.
