Idea on how 2K can bring back crew mode

They could have a certain criteria like playing at a certain difficulty and hard attribute caps for online use, and doing these things would be the only way for your player to be eligible for online use. Similar to NCAA football 13 RTG online leaderboards

all i ask for is crew, if it's exactly the same way it was in 2k11, i'll be happy. i'm on ps3 though, don't have to deal with the xbox bs.

2k13 is practically done they can't just put it in now , we just have to hope thats its already in.

I disagree 100%, there is a reason why crew wasn't the mode that we were constantly playing:

1) It was tough to find games
2) The cheaters

Obviously I rather have crew mode back. But remember how it really was. Remember the frustration of having to wait nearly 20 minutes to find some games. Remember getting kicked from your games. Remember playing 7'5 99 overall players.

Crew on PS3 was pretty great. Sure there were 7'5 99 C's but you can stop them pretty easily with team defense. Maybe I'm just saying that cause my MP was a 7' all around SF lol. But I think Crew is the only thing that kept me interested in 2k to be honest. It's probably the most fun I've had with any sports game, it's a shame we can't crew anymore..

1) It was tough to find games
2) The cheaters

game took 30 seconds to find if you knew what they were doing. and even all the way up to aug 1st, crew seemed to be as active as ever.

Just imagine -- if there were no cheaters, Crew would've been in 2K12. Maybe they learned their lesson. But probably not. All I want to see is have a way of clearly identifying a cheater before the game starts. That way at least the legit teams could play each other.

On Xbox I have played against players who took up the whole screen and the people who just shoot every shot they should only match up people in online comp. based on skill and quit %

I remember spending 75% of my time sitting in the crew lobby looking for an opponent, and when we would finally get a team to play against they where glitchsers and your find with that? Crew mode had so much potential but all that was ruined by the hackers and crappy servers.If 2k does decide to bring it back for 2k13 i really hope they do it right, and if they do i can see 2k13 never leaving my disc tray.

Crew can be improved sure, but on PS3 the glitches were far more tolerable. Yeah some teams spin dunked and occasionally you'd get a team that would pump in the paint all day, but I still managed to win 70% of my games playing straight up smart basketball.

Are you talking about PS3? I believe for a C the ball handling cap is like..60. And the highest their 3 can be is 80. So they can't dribble and were much slower than guards/forwards. As long as you know how to play D you can stop C's a good percentage of the time. Definitely if that's all they have.

I thought the ps3 didn't have the hacks? oh well.. It was fun, but the hackers will just ruin it again. They could bring it back in a street ball type of tournament, I think there should be someone able to record and report hackers tho. So if they win, the win doesn't count and they are disqualified.

Just get lobbies for crew so you can play against people you know and that issue will be solved. Also if you don't want to play "hackers" don't play against people that hide their myplayer's. I loved crew 2k11 was definitely a game I played often for a couple years. Which is rare for a sports game.

LOL you had a 7 foot all around SF... I'm 1000% sure that's realistic, and don't give me that Trey5 is 6'10 BS. Crew was fine if you played a legit team. The PG on your team was probably like 6'8. Nobody wants to play people like that, blue haired Santa Claus running around hitting 3's everywhere, did you say 'occasional spin dunking' ?? Haha try everytime they need a basket. Nearly every team on top of the leaderboards were glitchers or cheesers. You get no SP when playing with your crew, yet when you do pickup games where EVERYBODY thinks their player is Jordan, and you'd be lucky if you get the ball, you'd get skill points. Crew was an extremely fun and hopefully it's fixed and in 2K13, but the mode was just too bugged and easily hackable, therefore unenjoyable at times.

Like playing against a 7' all around SF.
