Broken Controllers

Just for fun, not to be malicious, but how many of you have broken a controller as a direct result of frustration with Madden's game play? ... and how many controllers have you broken?

I have had it happen to me once before when years ago on last gen, and that was a pricy lesson in anger management... and I have heard stories of others on these very forums who have done the same.

Have you ever thrown your controller at the floor in anger/frustration?

when i used the ps2 for madden i broke a few since i got the ps3 2 yrs ago i havent broke any although i have found myself wanting to throw it lol but @ $50 a pop im more careful now lol.

My R2 button broke because, although they clearly told us that it was no longer the sprint button...brainwashing/conditioning for so long still took precedence...haha.

I was playing against a friend of mine about a month ago. I was the 49ers and he was the Lions. I was up 27-21 with 14 seconds to go. He was on the 47 yrd line and I already knew what was coming. A BOMB TO CALVIN JOHNSON. I picked one of the plays in 3 quarters where he gets double teamed, I had a safety over the top, and I took another corner and just ran him back to the end zone. Ball is snapped, no d line pressure, few seconds and Stafford cannons it into the end zone......TOUCHDOWN LIONS......controller goes flying through the air and puts a whole in my bedroom wall. My controller is unfortunately still in tack though. I wanted in to be shattered.

My friend talkin so much junk now, me not even wanting to finish the game. He squib kicks it. I catch it and pitch it back to Ginn Jr. I ran side to side losing yards, then all of a sudden.....I see the gaping hole towards the right side line. I hit it and soon only have the kicker to beat. He misses and a few seconds later.....TOUCHDOWN 49ERS......My friend grabs a baseball bat, walks out the door, and well bye bye his controller.

I getta talk my smack now. And he is left without a controller. I now consider my controller to be very special. lol

Although, I have been know to smack the piss out of my ottoman :o

I have a box full of broken ps3 controller parts.. my controllers I use now is half of a black and half of a the digital camo controller for ps3. had to start recycling cant keep droppin $50 bucks on these controllers

I've broke 3 controllers from playing CoD. Never broke one from Madden. I don't really ever rage on Madden, probably because I only play offline franchise, online is too much cheese for me and probably would cost me a few broken controllers and holes in the wall.

I broke my first and only controller playing The Show. Thanks to the dreaded "CC"........:wink:

But never on Madden. Guess because I kinda know what to expect and am not shocked when crazy things happen..

Acutally quite the opposite.. I cheered and threw my hands in the air, and my controller happened to be in my hand. It flew against the wall rickoshaded back slaming to the floor. No real damage to the controller luckly.

I don't believe I've ever broken a controller playing Madden. I have playing MVP. I almost did with NBA Live. The one I'm currently using is patched up from playing CoD but still works completely okay. I don't get that angry playing Madden though. Don't know why but at $30-$60 a pop for new controllers, I'm glad I don't.

I broke 1 360 controller Due to Madden 11, it was the NFC championship with me using the Vikings and the CPU using the Bucs. It was close until the 2nd quarter when Favre just started gunning it perfectly. By halftime I was up 17-0 with me getting the ball back after the half on the opening kick I take it back to the 40 when the kicker tackels me from behind and I fumbled and he returned it to my 5. That was almost enough for me to lose it there but I just laughed it off. Freeman scrambles for the TD and now it's 17-7, now I get the kick take it to the 25 and dive by accident and I fumble the ball, luckily one of my defenders warp jumped on it and I retained possession. First play I run outside and Rudd blows up AP and injures him for 5 weeks, 2nd play I go for a quick slants hit Rice and he drops it with really no one close to him. 3rd down I throw deep to Rice again Bigby makes some amazing leap and picks it off while Rice doesn't even make an attempt to stop him which leads to a pick 6.

Kick off I get blown up and fumble, Freeman gets the ball tosses it, the freakin ball bounces off a linemans helmet I pick it off and get laid out by Wallace which causes me to fumble and Wallace takes it to the 1. They score so now it's 21-17. Kick off again I take it to the house on the return.
Now it's the 4th score being 24-21. They respond with a TD return 28-24. I respond by of course getting blown up even with me covering the ball with a fumble and they take t back for 6. 34-24. I fumble again but keep possession, I get a drive going playing great and put up 7. Score 34-31, Freeman becomes a fusion of Montana and Brady making short perfect completions killing about the entire quarter but with less than a minute left I pick him off and Favre leads them down the field to tie the game and sends us into overtime.

They win the kick, dude breaks literally 5 tackels and takes it to the house for the opening kick OT win. I threw my controller so hard bro

I've thrown my controller once: last year. I was, however, smart enough to throw it into a pillow. Actually, the only damage I've done was to my foot when I kicked my couch because of some BS play in NCAA 12.

Ah, now, on the subject of actually tossing the controller...

Season 8 of a Madden 10 franchise, my created player (a QB) was traded when I chose to sim through the free agency. It was a quick WTF moment, and the controller flew out of my hand and busted a lamp bulb.
