    CCM conspiracy??

Do you think lack of editing was done intentionally to force people to buy new copies of Madden each year because they can't get updated rosters online??

        Re: CCM conspiracy??

Ive said this in other threads and people have told me it doesnt make any sense.

If people can edit the roster to replicate upcomming seasons then why would they need to purchase the next version of madden especially is the newest version only has marginal increase in things they improved?

For example i buy madden 13 and the big thing for madden 14 is we tweaked our engine, added 5 more pass trajectories, and added face scans of rookies, f that ill save 60 bucks and just update my own madden 13 rosters.

I dont think its a conspiracy more of a business plan.

I don't see how it really benefits them though. They want to people to buy M13. Not having editing in as we've already seen is going to cause people to not purchase the game so it doesn't really make sense. The same goes for NCAA imports. It does nothing but help bolster NCAA sales having it in the game so I don't see why they would exclude it so you can't update rosters.

If this had happened any other year, I would agree that it was just a financial choice. However, this year with the completely redesigned CCM, I really do believe roster editing causes things to work improperly within the mode. I wish they would just let us edit rosters, but be VERY clear that if you do, things might not work the way they were designed to and strongly recommend using their roster for this year anyway. Then by next year they should have time to work out the kinks.

The infinty engine and the word physics will get people to buy 13 hook line and sinker. Then the omission of editing will get people to buy future iterations of madden basically as a roster update. I dont know if im doing a good job explaning this.

I get what you're saying and it makes sense, I just don't think it was deliberately done. The people that are hit the hardest by the exclusions are going to be far less likely to buy any future Madden until they're back. Sure, a lot of people will overlook them and purchase anyway but they're still missing that chunk on current sales and potential future sales as long as they continue to be excluded.

Nope. They had it in last year and if they would ever want to do this to force people to buy a new came it would be this year when they've revamped a very popular feature which would turn people off. If you don't want Madden 2013, you could essentially update your rosters on Madden 2012.

I just posted this in another thread. I think its not in because it devalues XP.

well they already said they gonna put editing back in but not this yr so why introduce something new but will be useless in future maddens if they put editing back in? because that would make XP useless then. XP is for RP games last i checked madden was a sports game they shoulda just left it alone.

Ive said this many times before, editing equipment has zero affect on xp. I like the idea of xp but i should also be able to edit equipment

I like the idea of XP too but NOT for Franchise Mode. XP should have been a Superstar only addition.

I think that's the point though. They're going to try to work out a system where its not devalued. I don't think it will be in there until then.

There is no conspiracy. Tiburon did not have time to implement the infrastructure for player editing, they said as much.

Think about it. If you edit a player, any edited data has to be sent to the server, verified for correctness / lack of interference / deliberate corruption, applied to the master file, and then percolated to other players. This is a not-insignificant amount of work.

Given that it is not important to the core football gameplay, I'm not surprised that it was low on Tiburon's cut priority.

Again, I want player editing back just as much as anyone else. I understand why it is not there, however.
