MLB 10 the show updated rosters

Ok sorry to get everyone's smile on people's faces but, this is the thread that will have the updated roster. I need a vote from people since I am having the game be like putting MLB 12 in. My question that is for the people decide is the retire people do you guys think that since they don't play anymore that there rating should be F or stay the way it is?

i would leave it as is bro, to save you some time, specially if retired players have no impact on the game.

I don't know a lot about editing for The Show. Can retired guys be altered to current day players if you need the space or are you sort of "stuck" with them and the database doesn't have a cap of total players?

You can overwrite any player on the roster.
To overwrite a FA list player...he just has to be moved onto a team.

You can not change the teams of real people the only thing you can mess with is change the stats

Not following that. Who are the "real" people...as in those without fake names? So, you couldn't take, say, Josh Hamilton and change his team? Not understanding that...then no one could be traded.

Well, it's extra work but having the retired guys get the "F" prevents them from progressing...

Which makes sense, since they're at the end of their careers...

I'm interested in this roster as well...

I'm kind of frustrated with this year's version and want to pull 10 out off the shelf and see if it plays differently / better for me...

Thanks for doing this update, nightowl_80!

10 is by far worth it, there are some things in the works, so i would just say pull 10 off the shelf, you'll be impressed over 12.

I'd be interested in hearing your comparisons. I bought '12, but gave it away as a present. I re-bought '10 for dirt cheap.

I don't recall the CPU pitchers beings as prone to pound the strike zone, paint black and be as clutch in previous iterations...

There's also a well discussed double play "abundance" in 12, that's unique to this year's model...

I spent the day setting up a Mets franchise with a roster I found that was made for 10 about a year ago...

I'm going to run with that until this one drops...

Haven't played yet, but the difference in graphics is stunning...

10 looks like "PS2 Plus" compared to 12, but gameplay is what I'm most interested in...

                      We shall see...

You canchange his team but you can't change his name. Like the example you said Josh Hamilton can't be changed to Josh Random

Just played my first game with 10 since...well...since it was new...

                          Blows 12 away, IMHO...

All the problems I described in my earlier post weren't in evidence...

I use classic pitching, I'm GUESSING that when they added analog pitching and hitting they re tuned things which turned out to be a hot mess for me...

I thought I was just losing my skills, but the maddening / frustration that 12 delivers for me has been replaced by the gameplay that made me love the series in the first place...

                          Question:

Why did you guys go back to 10?

11 was the only one I didn't buy...

I believe 10 to be superior to 12, but how does it rank versus 11?

                          Thanks...looking forward to the roster...

I may just be coming back to 10 next spring...

                          Crazy...

I went back to 10 because I like how you can just press what type of pitch and you don't have to worry about location. There is somethings I like about 11 just like 12 and 10 but, I also collect ps3 trophies and I have plat 11 and 12 that's what made me put 10 back in. I am also a yankee fan and this is the last schedule I like from them.

well i had 12, and i fell on $ difficulties, so i had 11, but at the time i really couldnt get it, so i remebered the good things that 10 offered, good game-play mechanics, solid graphics, the animation scenes over 12 are incredible, how many argued calls do you see in 11 or 12 at first base ? how many definitive dive catch animations that were taken from 10, and kept in 12, but not made more innovative in 12. this is why i chose it, even if you compare review's from back then till now, even the reviews out-way today's standards, and your talking a couple years difference.
