It should run better, everyone complaining about the freezes in NCAA 13 seemed to have bought the disk. I downloaded it and have never had it freeze on me. I would think that Madden would be the same way.

my game pauses for a sec or two at the snap on both ncaa and madden but doesn't on the demo or the 60 minute trial on plus so i'm going the DL route this year. i hope i'm making the right choice as i'm not sure on psn return policies.

Makes more sense. Plus it puts less wear and tear on your disc drive.

That's not how digital downloads work...once you purchase a game digitally it's tied to your account, and you can redownload it anytime on any system your account is linked to. At least that's how it is on PS3, and I'd assume it's the same on 360 (as long as you stay subscribed to Live).

You can delete any digital game you buy on Xbox or ps3 and redownload them when ever you want...

If there's significantly better performance playing from the HDD the files that provide that boost will probably just be included in the installation if possible.

Yes. All modern day console games use data streaming. Data streams much faster from a HDD or DVD that it does a Blu-ray.

I love my P3, but I really wish they would let use install all games to the HDD. Would make loading and in game stuttering much less of an issue.

You can but you have to redownload the game.
