How to change coach schemes in CCM?

I created a head coach for the colts but how do I change the teams scheme to how I would like top play? I want an vertical attack with 3-4 pass rush defense but its set to default and spread offense and hybrid defense.

If you go into strategy, then schemes, you can change the type of players you need for your system.

Why do they switch back if you quit a game? Do they stay from what you switched if you finish that week?

I did that but it didnt change the scheme, it still says balanced even tho I changed rb to power run and ok to run blockers

Exactly, this is why I'm confused I changed the type of players i want but the scheme doesnt change.

i think it takes a year or so for it to change.

Exactly, this is why I'm confused I changed the type of players i want but the scheme doesnt change.

I don't have the game, but I recall a few game changers saying the scheme doesn't change right away. It'll automatically change as you get the new types of players on your team.

That honestly sounds pretty stupid to me. What if I want some variety in my scheme, or one player is just so good that despite the fact that he doesn't fit my scheme I still want him.

I can't figure this out, I keep changing player types needed, signed players Only that fit the type of scheme I want, and it still doesnt change. I also noticed that if I look at my coach goals it tells my off and def scheme and it differs from the team scheme. I also made a lot of different coaches and changed the play book and sliders and it keeps making my coach scheme west cost and base 4-3.

your scheme starts out as the teams scheme from before you got there, because thats what the team was built for. over time as you get players that fit your system it will change. it prolly takes a year for it to change. wait till the off season and check then.

I think there is misenterpritation here. I have not changed my team scheme at all. I play as the colts and the base scheme was balanced o and hybrid defense. My created coach, for whatever reason, came into the game with a west coast offense, and i forget the defense as his type of system in coach goals.

That sucks if this is the case as this is a big deal to me. I really do not want to have to wait for a patch to come out to have a full on ccm experience...
