I simply cannot believe/understand/fathom why after all these years they took this out. Can someone, from OS or EA, please explain why this happened?

Because we are a low number. And in the world of business, numbers count. If they sent someone to Florida to preview the game who was a die hard coach mode player like me, it probably would get attention. But we are the minority.

Oh well, EA won't be getting my $60 bucks from me this year. More time for MLB 12 The Show.

Coach mode is the least of the problems with this years game.

The other threads simply pointed out that the coach mode did not exist. I, however, am requesting a response, if an explanation can be offered, as to why this was not included in this year's game. Perhaps someone with clout would see the thread and offer a response. Whereas they may not see a post asking a question buried in some other thread simply devoted to the fact it does not exist. I am sure they already know that.

This just confuses me then. I thought EA advertised you can be player or coach in CC. On this site http://mymaddenpad.com/madden-nfl-13...-careers-faqs/ it lists the Coach Mode, but that it's basically you as a player. Which makes no sense if you're controlling the players, why call it coach mode? Should have stuck with Franchise Mode then there would be no confusion.

I was under the impression it as a "Head Coach" type mode, but apparently not.

This deserves an official response IMO

For them to leave it in 'Play Now' exhibition mode but strip it from career mode? Wtf? Was this a mistake? Was it really supposed to have been in Career mode? Can this be patched back in? I mean all we're talking about here is QB auto-throw. Add that back into career mode and you'll get my $60. Leave it out, and to bad for me as I won't be getting this years version.

What makes this even more difficult to swallow is the fact that career mode looks great this year. Very much reminds me of HC 09, my favorite football game.

I mean to take the time to inject RPG elements, the tweets for immersion but then take away the players ability run a pure GM/coach team? I don't get it.

For me, this is sadly a deal breaker

what was coach mode in previous maddens and how is it missing from 13? i am planning on picking up a copy on Tuesday but before i do i would really like clarification on what you mean exactly?

what was coach mode in previous maddens and how is it missing from 13? i am planning on picking up a copy on Tuesday but before i do i would really like clarification on what you mean exactly?

You called the plays and computer controlled players executed them. Now as a coach you either have to simulate the entire game, or call and execute the plays.

Thanks, i personally never played the game that way so this is not a killer for me, i am sorry that this is gone for everyone who did enjoy playing in this manner, hopefully this can be fixed in an update for you guys because it doesnt seem like it would be that hard to do?

Id be ok with the answer of "we don't put anything into ccm unless its perfect" and consider that maybe they were going with different camera angles, more of a head coach style with coach mode...but....seeing the stuff in the game that is crazy broken right now...how can they claim everything is perfect

No coach mode saved me 60 bucks this year. The play now version of coach mode plays as great as it ever has, just makes not having it in franchise hurt that much more.

Not to mention not being able to use custom rosters.

Ugh, every year this game is so disappointing.

NBA 2k13 can't come soon enough.
