All Promo is Good promo even Negative promo for NBA Live 13.

this is what a lot of you may not understand about marketing. the more everyone begs them to "show us something, tell us something." the more time they have to not show you anything or tell you anything.WHY because their is obviously still a huge buzz out there.

And yes just because we all assume 2k is better this year from what we've seen. like light years ahead make no mistakes about it. lets assume that vid was pre-alpha. doesnt matter 2k is still light years ahead. and i'm not your average 2k lover that hates on live. this is just facts at this point until Live shows us otherwise.

If you realllly want EA to show their hand. make this the last thread you guys make about this game. Dont ask about this game. dont ask gamestop. dont post on EA's site. dont go on other sites that talk about the game. nothing, zero.

they embargo you from knowing any info but they still have your DESIRE to know. so Flip it back on them. stop asking. embargo them from the Buzz and Promo. then all of a sudden you will see info about the game good or bad.

that means no more venting about it. keep all live 13 convos to your close friends/relatives lol.
let this be the last new live thread you see. shoot. dont even reply to this one. nod your head quietly and go on about your business.

Huge buzz? Where? At some point people need to realize that nobody but those of us who are hardcore basketball video game fans give a damn about Live. Casuals couldn't care less if Live drops ever again, they wouldn't even know.

Stop trying to justify what EA is doing. This is not a case of 'no news is good news' for Live. Guys are losing their minds with this 'marketing plan' crap. I guess if Marvel wants to make the most money possible on their next movie, let's say....Ant Man just for arguments sake. They shouldn't say anything about it, show any clips/trailers anywhere, release no promotional posters for the thing or any of that. Then two weeks before release they can just release all that stuff then and be good to go for about a billion in sales.

The only time bad press can be a positive is if something is just so bad that people get it just to see how bad it is. Sometimes games like that become cult classics, not because of their revolutionary gameplay but because its just terrible and will likely be a collectable in the future lol ESPECIALLY if it gets cancelled.

Completely agree. As a member of the short attention span generation of teenagers, I've asked several friends I know that follow basketball and at least 3/4ths had no idea a live was being developed this year.

video game consumers are not the same as most consumers, sure this approach works in, music, movies, yet in video games not so much... people don't shell out 60+ bucks to play trash, they pay 10 bucks for a controversial cd or movie, just to see what all the fuss is about

and of course i wasnt talking about casual fans. who cares about them? I dont. casual fans is what got us the arcadey version of live over the more sim versions years ago.

i'm talking about US core fans. if we keep making these threads begging for something or even trashing the product. it still counts as a BUZZ. and it means guess whats on your mind? NBA LIVE. so if all of a sudden they show you something that looks even close to 2k and throw in that league like NHL has. we will go nutz. "OHHH LIVE IS BACK LIVE IS BACK."

The last time this happened the game got canceled.

You can live on fantasy island all you want but this can't be spun as good.

They don't even have half the fanbase they had and all it takes is to see the other game which looks real compared to another stiff incomplete game that's struggling to even release a date
