Connect Career isn't using my roster

So I want to play a standard franchise. I think it kind of sucks that you have to be a coach or player now. It's a fun feature, but I really don't want goals. I just want to play a season. But thats fine, and another gripe for another thread, what I want to know, is why can't I use my roster in my connected career?

For some background, I play as the Giants, always have, I love them. I downloaded the roster and looked at it, I made some changes, because some of the guys who aren't going to make the team, have higher stats then guys who are locks, so I fixed that up a bit. But now I want to use that roster, and it won't use it.

Not to mention that Manning's rating in the game is 97, and when it starts the connected career, he's 92.

So my question is, how do I use my roster, and how do I make sure its actually giving me the right player ratings?

You can't import modified rosters into CCM. You must use the stock CCM roster.

You can't use an edited roster of any kind in CCM.

You can't import modified rosters into CCM. You must use the stock CCM roster.

Seriously?? Wow. So you can't have just a regular franchise with updated rosters.

I'm having the same problem. However I haven't edited any roster. After updating rosters are different in CC mode. Example, I start with Lions. In Play Now and just browsing rosters Calvin is 99 and Stafford is 91. After I start a CC in coach mode with Lions they drop to 96 and 86 overall. Why is that? I see on the CC setup it says what roster to use and only option is default? Why would they be different?

That is ridiculous! So I can't play with an accurate Giants team then? I do not like this.

If I do CC as a player, I can only progress him? Or can I progress everyone?

This isn't new news guys. When they first told us about CCM they said we couldn't do any editing.

In regards to the above poster about rating changed. I believe the play now roster is them overall. When you begin CCM it's their ratings in regard to how they fit your scheme.

Ratings in CCM are different due to scheme.
