Yzerman was a legend last year. I'm guessing the legends from last year will carry over, I believe there have been some Gretzky screen shots released promoting NHL 13.

Gilmour has been confirmed as has Hayley Wickenheiser and I am pretty sure Jarri Kurri is in.

Sure looks like Hasek. Unless it is Dan Cloutier...ha

So that is 4 out of 5. No idea on #5.

Tomorrow is 13 days from NHL13 release,so maybe the guy playing in the winter classic...#13 Mats Sundin?

I know he's not considered a legend like others are(though is considered one of greatest Leafs of all time), but would be cool if NHL games did include guys playing in the Alumni game at the winter classic(it doesn't have to be legends mode stuff,but at least include the teams playing in upcoming alumni game)

Sundin,Bower,Gilmour,Clark among others on Leafs side and Fedorov,Draper,Chelios,Osgood among others on Wings side.

The 5th legend is a woman.

Players of EA Sports' "NHL 13" will have the option of choosing either Wickenheiser or veteran American defenceman Angela Ruggiero

5 that's it. Do we at least get the 9 from last year as well.If so then all we have to do is wait 2 or 3 more years and maybe we can have a full team. Thanks EASports. Madden can have about 30 legends in the game, NBA2K12 had at least 10 legend teams in the game, MLB The Show had 2 full legend teams but we get 5. Once again hockey can't compete with the other big 3 sports in North America.

My jimmies will be RUSTLED if there's no Orr. Especially with the new skating and everything. Would love to see Neely, too. Are the legends from last year in, still? I skipped out on last year's game, but it would be awesome to play with Bourque this year. I really hope the Bruins' jerseys from the 80's/early 90's are in, those are some of my favorite jerseys of all time.

I'm sure budget plays a part, but it also has to do with each player giving EA permission to use them in the game. Madden and NBA both outsell the NHL series by at least 3 million copies each year.

Budget shouldn't play a role here. The legends are part of the NHLPA, and EASports has a deal with the NHLPA so they could put anyone in they want. Realisticly we could have legend teams for every NHL team. I am sure alot of people would like to play with legend teams over the junior teams or European teams.

Legends are not part of the nhlpa. When you retire you're out of the union. They have to get their agreements with individual contracts to use them in the game.

Budget shouldn't play a role here. The legends are part of the NHLPA, and EASports has a deal with the NHLPA so they could put anyone in they want. Realisticly we could have legend teams for every NHL team. I am sure alot of people would like to play with legend teams over the junior teams or European teams.
