How About Those Sim Scores Now?

    Bears 42 Colts 21, Falcons 40 Chiefs 24, Skins 40 Saints 32, Jets 48 Bills 28... I can't remember when I've seen so many 40 point games in a week. Replacement refs?

It's an anomaly that happens every once in awhile. Couple that with the fact that it's week one of the season and you've got a recipe for shootouts.
        NFL: Green Bay Packers
        MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies
        NBA: Denver Nuggets

I watched a few games today and the officials were pretty bad I must say. A couple of big examples are...

          - Huge block in the back not called on Cobbs punt return for a TD.
          - Awarding Seattle 4 timeouts!?!
          - Staley for the 49ers was so offsides one play and how that was missed is beyond me.
          - To say the pass interference calls were inconsistent would be an understatement.

Just a terrible day all together in the games I watched all day.

I was under the impression that games were more worried about sim stats, not scores.

He should have said "You will see Kurt Warner come out of retirement. That's about it."

Still haven't seen John Skelton throw for 8 TDs yet.

How about a certain NFC South team holding their opponents to 10 total yards rushing?

The only game I watched was the Eagles vs Browns and I only saw 1 mistake. A offensive pass interference call was missed against the Browns during a screen play.

This could be posted on any given week when regular refs are officiating.

Very true, every mistake these guys make is just amplified because they're replacements. One thing I've noticed a lot more from the replacements were really bad spots off by 2 or 3 yards.

Until multiple guys throw for 450-500 yards in the same week the madden sim engine has no defense.

The stats in Madden are still horrible.

One thing that stands out is QB's never get injured or benched. So you have exactly 32 QB's comprising 99% of all passes.

I've yet to see the 33rd QB throw for more than 800 yards. And in reality you have 35-39 QB's every year who throw for 1000 yards or more.
