Madden 11 vs Madden 12 vs Madden 13

Which is better? I can obviously get 11, 12 real cheap but has the game changed much in a good way across this range?

There's no way I can play an older Madden after this one. Although other than M10 I thought all the other Maddens were honestly terrible anyway. But Madden 13 is finally a Madden I can live with again. Very satisfied for the most part.

If you are on the 360, I would get Madden 12. I think it's a better game pre patch and it can be had for almost nothing.

If your on PS3 , I would go Madden 13. Madden 12 looked terrible on PS3(I bought both versions last year)

11 was okay but i feel 10 was better than 11

12 was awesome esp with the full edit i did for it

13 is well grapahically really good and the best looking football game er made so esp with animations ect.

gameplay wise id say madden 13 is still the best as well

There is no such thing as Madden 11. It was actually Madden 10.5 (basically Madden 10 with a roster update and a crappy patch)

Didn't really care for 11 and I thought 12 was fun for a few months, but I'm having a blast with 13. I can actually see myself playing this until 14 comes out and I usually get bored with Madden around spring...

For only 5 bucks or less I recommend MADDEN 10, I believe its the last Madden with OS/sim community in mind. It is not perfect, but it always finds its way back in my Xbox.

I agree, but madden 13's graphics aren't even close to madden 12's. The only thing madden 12 needed to be a fantastic looking game is to have some of the grass corrected in some of the stadiums. Madden 12 has better color, lighting, and is much more clear then madden 13.

Unless you play on PS3, then I would agree that madden 13 is slightly better then 12. Madden 12 on PS3 was terrible, I sold it and bought the 360 version and couldn't believe the difference. This year the PS3 version is much cleaner looking then the 360 which has a soft picture for what ever reason. The PS3 version has more jaggies but it is just cleaner and not soft and a little blurry

I like Madden 13, despite it's massive flaws. I have faith that EA will fix a lot of the remaining issues in the next patch. We shall see.

However, if you can't look past all of 13's flaws, I say go with 11. To me, that was the best Madden in years. 12 took a huge step back, especially with the broadcasters announcing "TD!!!" while I'm kicking an extra point. Things like that really killed 12 for me.

Didnt buy 11 because my frustration with Madden was at its zenith (till now). I liked M12 and played a ton. Once I found a good slider set, no issues for me.
M13 plays great, better than the others, especially in Play Now. Until a proper patch comes out and fixed the major issues in Franchise, Im not really into it other than the odd Play Now game or mess with MUT.

If EA plans to patch m13..go there for sure.

Madden '13 plays a little better than '12 but has too many issues right now that are crying out for a patch.You may have to wait a couple of months for that because it's extensive. The A.i issues are particularly dumbfounding.It does have the groundwork for being really good but may have to wait for '14.

I've played a few hundred games in '12 and had no issues with game and the A.i. and such. The only real issue was the DT's pass rush but you could lower block shed ratings to fix this.With good sliders the game played really well and you still have editing and 32 team control if you like.

So overall as it stands I believe that Madden '12 is the better game right now.

So you've been honestly been able to go side by side with 12 and 13?

Madden 13 on 360 has better lighting has better grass and animations over 12 and even fixed some stadiujms etc etc., so i cant agree
