Duke's NHL 13 True Broadcast PRO Sliders

Alright here's the thing...these sliders are killer. Went back in and plugged them in this weekend and holy eff I forgot how great this game can look/play/feel in True Broadcast.

The ONLY way to get these to work correctly is to go in and delete your title update, use V1.0 tuner settings and plug the sliders in.

Yes auto aim is turned to on. In my opinion, its like real player FG% in NBA2k. If you get your player a good shot, and he is good enough, it will go in. Plus it helps on True Broadcast.

The way I have the sliders listed is a bit confusing, but go thru and plug them and and I don't think you will be sorry. These are PERFECT for kickstarting some life back into your NHL 13 for the final 4 month of the game cycle.

Start at Hardcore game setting, then change the following leaving the rest at default.

    True Broadcast Cam
    Puck Shadow - Authentic
    Puck Size - Authentic

Pro (Feel free to play on any higher difficulty not just PRO)
    8 Minutes
Auto Aim: ON (in menu right before entering game.)
    Tuning V1.00

    Game Speed - 1
    Penalties - maxed
Penalty Time Scaling - 0 (personal preference, I just like to keep everything relative)
    Post Whistle Rules - Authentic

    HUM

    Pass Intercept - 5
    Puck Control - 0
    Stick Lift -Maxed
    Poke Effect - Maxed

    CPU

    Puck Control - 0
AI Face off Difficulty - 4
    Pass Accuracy - 0
    Pass Reception - 0
    Shot Accuracy - 0
    Slap Shot Accuracy - 0
    One Timer Accuracy - 0
    Stick Lift -Maxed
    Poke Effect - Maxed

Like it says, don't limit yourself to only playing on PRO. I am personally playing there because in my first season with these sliders, I played damn near all 82 games with the Pens, number one seed in the East...then lost 4-1 games in the Stanly Cup Finals to the Kings. In my case, why would I put the difficulty up higher if I lost? Feels me?

Make changes, tweak here and there...do whatever you feel fit. It's your world, but these sliders used as a base...will give you some serious NHL enjoyment.

Yea, let me know what you think. I am having wins, losses, come from behinds, blow outs, everything. Best hockey I have played since...well ever.

Also I play with authentic puck size and puck shadow. Personal preference, but it adds to the visual of True Broadcast in my opinion.

Hey duke, awesome read man. Funny thing is I play with almost the same setup as u, but I prefer manual aim, always up, but to each his own. The game is real good playing vertical on ice came but with true broadcast I feel I can emulate the game I love to watch on tv(center ice subscriber). I too have lowered it to pro and like u said I can probably force the issue and deke to the net constantly to win almost every game. I too try and emulate the NHL game and with the camera angle I feel I can. Dump and chase, chipping out of the defensive zone, starting up ice and if there is nothing there sometime dump, sometimes play it back to a d man work it back and forth btw the d men before I try and get up ice again. I am playing with o or 1 on game speed, and zero like u on all shot acc, passing/pass reception at zero, shot blocking and poke check very high(still adjusting). I like a real sloppy random game with a mix of goals coming from my/player talent, grinding goal and some sloppy goals. Sorry for the wall of text but u got me pumped and now I'm gunna go play some NHL hockey.

Right before you start the game it is on the first page of settings.

I upped the AI face off difficult to 4, and am still having decent success. At 3 I was winning more consistently, at 4 its pretty even, but if I continue to get better I will keep upping.

Thanks for testing guys and i am going to try out the variations people post to try and zone in on a prefect set.

True Broadcast Cam really is a game changer.

Hmmm, thats pretty strange...I have always been able to change it during a game. One thing you could try is in the main settings menu, go to the control settings and change it there while still in Ice camera, then switch to True Broadcast Cam right before you go into the game.

                      I hope that helps.

Seems like you are confusing direction of play with direction of stick control. The direction of play is shown in the visual menu. Thus, if you select True Broadcast, that is greyed out, because this camera does not have an up-down view.

What you want is the "Always Up" which refers to controls. SO you need to go in the controls menu and then choose from there. The two settings are "Camera relative" and "Always Up" so just make sure to toggle to Always Up.

                        Hope this helps.

Re: Duke's NHL 13 True Broadcast PRO Sliders

I have found a great set of sliders for ALL STAR to be used with TB camera.

I played a default period time Winter Classic game between Chicago and Detroit and I won 6:5 with constant changes in leads and it was absolutely awesome to be part of that.

The changes I made to the default sliders were:

Game speed down to 1 notch.
This brings the game to a more natural real life speed. In TB mode, this is important because the horizontal representation of the game gives the feeling of faster speed.

Fatigue (for both CPU and human) maxed
What this does is to really make a difference between lines.

Fatigue recovery (for both CPU and human - 1 notch
                          Same as above.

Pass reception ease (for both CPU and human ) - 1 notch
With this setting, only low risk passes will complete. This is important from the point of view of risk management. Throwing a high risk pass will more often than not result in a turnover.

Pass interception - maxed for both CPU and human
Makes for a looser and more unpredictable game with lots of turnovers and unexpected scenarios.

shot accuracy (for both CPU and human) up one notch (I think it is at 5).
What this does is accentuate a scoring chance. If I or the CPU has a good chance, more often than not they will bury it. I love this, because now I really get the feeling that my mistake will be punished and conversely - if I force a turnover and get a decent look, there is a higher chance I will score.

Most importantly - shot aim set to AUTO.
This is really paramount for TB. OK, it may be a bit of an advantage, but then again you can correct it with the shot aim slider for the CPU if you find that more of your shots are going in. For me it works because I seldom take low % shots, so in reality I don't feel like I am "cheating". On Manual, most of my chances (even the good ones) will miss the net. With Auto on, I know that if I have a good chance, there is a pretty good chance that it will be on target and if the chance is great (goalie out of position), then it's almost certainly in (just like in real life).

As I said, I played a Winter Classic game between the Hawks and the Wings and absolutely loved the pace, the unpredictability and the pure thrill of the game. Ended up winning the game, but blew a 2 goal lead and only scored the game winner in OT on a great wrister by Duncan Keith.
The great thing about that goal was that I knew (even before I shot it), that the chance was good (the goalie was screened and Keith received a cross ice feed from Kane. It kind of made total sense that the shot went in (i.e. I felt rewarded for the fact that I had created a good chance and had recognised when it was a good time to shoot).

I think everyone needs to give true broadcast a try. And definitely with these sliders. Played one of the most fun games ever. I was Stars vs. Canes and I had a defense collapse in the third with 2 goals in last 30 seconds. I then came back and scored with 8.1 left. Felt like i was watching a real game. I was on the verge of not playing NHL 13 just because i was getting frustrated along with other things. This camera angle really changes the game and adds a new aspect to NHL video games.

Also, how do people make those box scores i see in some of the other sliders threads? Does anyone know?
