What's the fastest way to progress players CCM?

I am playing as a HB and am wondering how fast can/will i progress? I am leading the league in rushing etc, but to just get one stat point increase costs a fortune. Does my player progress any other way, or is the only way to get better is to just buy the stat point increase?

At the end of the season is when you bank XP from milestone and season goals.

What does buying the "development trait" actually do? Does increasing skills cost less?

Nope. You just earn more XP per goal completed. I think it's pointless because it's not much of an increase to spend 50,000 XP on but people say buy it so idk.

Hmmm, I was thinking about it for my QB, but I dunno...50k XP is a lot. I don't mind that it boosts xp, but by how much? If it's only a small percentage, then it may not be worth it.

Ive seen posts ranging from 10% to 50% more. I rarely notice a difference. I got about 600-700 a game before I bought the package, now I get around 850-880 if I run for 75+ yards.

I started a CCM with the Jags and Justin Blackmon in 3 seasons went from an 80 to and 82. He was a normal dev and I didnt realize it.

After that I quit and restarted and spent all of my XP on Dev Trait boost, and got him from normal to superstar. Through 3 seasons in the second one he was an 87, after 4 seasons he is an 90.

Players develop XP easier, it costs less to progress them, and as a result they develop considerably faster. Look at how fast RG3 and Luck develop with superstar dev traits, then go look at say Christian Ponder or Alex Smith. In my CCM, Luck and RG3 develop 3+ better each season, whereas Ponder and Smith progress 0 or 1 overall. This is despite the fact that they have comparable seasons, or in some cases Smith/Ponder could have much better seasons but still not progress as much.
