    Solution to Pass Block Glitch!!

After 4 games in a season with the Redskins LOLB Kerrigan had 14 sacks! All pro ROLB Brian Orackpo who is rated much higher only had 2 sacks, why? Because the RT position is for one: lacking talent. Out of 32 starting RTs only 6 have a rating of 85 or higher. I also researched the men they must block, starting LOLBs in 3-4 schemes and LEs in 4-3 schemes and there are 15 of them rated 85 or higher! However, even a 70 rated RT who outweighs 84 rated Adam Kerrigan by 70lbs should be able to block him for more than 2 secs right? This is certainly the case in real life. I went to practice mode using a RT with a respectable 75 rating. I observed that these RTs handled 3 step drops just fine, but on a deep 5 step drop they got beat almost everytime irregardless of the defender's rating. The RT would engage the LOLB or LE and push him wide, causing the defender to try to loop around but the RT could not slide step long enough in order to re-engage the defender so the defender slips past the RT almost everytime on a 5 step drop. I found the friggin glitch! In order to test the problem, I created 4 different RTs all with the same weight, height, strength etc. The settings I varied were Pass Block, PB Strength, PB Footwork, and Impact Block. I added them all to a team and tested them in practice mode in order to figure out which trait has the greatest impact on their ability to block. Pass Block turned out to be the most important trait, so I know I had to toggle the Pass Block slider in hopes that the glitch could be overcome. The HU PB slider is realistic at 73 which called for a large overcompensation on the CPU Pass Rush slider: a 95. On the flip side the CPU Pass Block is set to 87 and the HU Pass Rush set to 50.

I have been wondering about this for some time... Is this true? If so, how many other people have been experiencing this?

Interesting stuff. Have you found that the RE has been able to get pressure using these settings, or is it mainly that the LE isn't able to do his glitch anymore?

        This glitch is very real.

Yes with these settings the pressure is a pure matchup where ratings effect performance rather than one position benefititing from a glitch. A four man rush normally gets to the QB in about 4 to 6 s and the first guy to break free is usually the more elite player.

You lost me at the end

So the correct sliders for pass block should be

            HUM/CPU

            50/87

            ?

              Sorry for Pass Block:
              HU-- 73/ CPU--87

              For Pass Rush:
              HU--50/ CPU--95

seems extreme but the pass block is so high because its the only way a RT can sustain a block on a 5 step drop back from the QB. The CPU pass rush is at 95 b/c anything lower, the QB was able to stand in the pocket untouched for up to 10s!

I will try these settings in my 1st game of the 2nd year of a Lions Online CCM and let you know how they work. They seem really high though. I had mine set at low numbers, like below 20. And still didn't see many sacks for my guys. Zero sacks for linebackers too all my first season.

What are your other sliders set at? My running game is non existent, I'm being stopped at the line by linemen reaching behind them and dragging me back.

I do have most other sliders down below 50, but both the cpu and I am struggling to get any offense. Granted it's just one game, the Lions vs Vikings but still...

AP has 21 attempts for 48 yards with 10 as his longest

Kevin Smith has 9 attempts for 15 yards and 6 as his longest

Re: Solution to Pass Block Glitch!!

I'm very close on getting the absolute most realistic run settings. As of right now its set:
                    RunBlock HU--37/ CPU--60
                    BlockShed HU--25/ CPU--60
                    RunReact HU--40/ CPU--93.

Speed threshold is at 30 (see my other thread "Sliders so Realistic" to see how I tested this to get the most realistic setting possible).
CPU run react seems high? only bec defenders can't break on a run play until after the the hand off which gives stretch plays such a huge advantage if there were a lower CPU RunReact setting.

If you're still having trouble running the ball on this setting I suggest trying something that really helped my run game, because I struggled at first with M13. The M13 run game requires patience.

Basically, as the QB is trying to hand off, hold your left stick up ever so slightly, so by the time the handoff completes you're starting at a slow speed that allows you to read the blocks and take sharper turns in order to get into running lanes.

Once the RBs path is aimed at the running lane hit up all the way on the left stick and hold R2 at the same time to excellerate through the hole. Oh yeah turn off Auto Accelerate; it robs you of the control you need to pull this off.

I've spent about 150 hours testing every aspect and i believe they are ideal but keep playing and something might get exposed. please post any problems here. thx. **Note there is a glitch that is not altogether slider related. I noticed it and then read some posts about the issue and a fellow sliders guru by the name of Wiles Thing suggested that the OT on the side the quarter back is facing (RT for right handed QBs/ LT for left handed QBs) is vulnerable to a glitch where he cannot extend his blocking path, so the pass rusher on his side can slip past him almost instantly. I tested this and discovered that the glitch only happens on deep plays that require a 5 step dropback. My pass block setting reduces the chances but does not totally eliminate the glitch. Also, if you call a line audible to the vulnerable side this solves the problem everytime for the HU, but of course, the CPU never does this. Have fun!!

I have experienced this A lot as well. I play as the Vikings in my CCM and I have Jared Allen as my right DE and Brian Robison as my left DE. Jared Allen is around a 97 overall, and Brian Robison is around a 86 overall. Both of them are good but Robison is averaging 2.6 sacks per game right now and Allen is averaging about half a sack a game right now. i understand that most of the time RT's are normally not as talented as LT's but it should not be that big of a difference.
