Don't expect any more Uniform Store updates

I've had a person inside Arizona's athletic dept. working with me since the release of NCAA 13 getting Arizon's uniforms correct (they were wrong for 3 years leading up to the Uniform Store). I asked him if the copper helmets we're breaking out this weekend would be added, & he said that EA was notified of them & they should be out in the the next update.

So just a few minutes ago he e-mails me & said that the copper helmets won't be added, also it appears that there won't be any more updates to the Uniform Store for NCAA 13. He said that they'll be added next year (along with our new video board that hasn't been in for 2 years now, and possibly our stadium expansion which is to be completed for the start of next season). Their reasoning is that they (EA) has turned the focus to working on NCAA 14. And on top of that we're (Arizona) getting new uniforms next season, so I'm not gonna hold my breath for them getting in.

So if your school didn't get their default unis updated in the current Uniform Store, or is later this season going to be wearing one-offs or alternates that haven't been unveiled yet, don't expect them to be in NCAA 13.

If all is true, then that's pretty messed up for EA to do. They sell the idea for awhile about having a Uniform Store to update uniforms throughout the year and decide "oh lets shut it down 4 weeks into the college football season when we've only updated like 8 defaults.."

Aggie I suggest you search Bear_Downs threads before you say he is full of crap. I am a uniform junkie and have seen his NUMEROUS posts and I don't think he needs to validate anything. Everything posted has been true.

While it's certainly possible that there won't be any more updates (which wouldn't surprise me), but it could also be that this person in the Arizona athletic department doesn't really know what he's talking about. After all, he works for UA, not EA. Maybe whoever he spoke with meant that there won't be any more uniform updates for Arizona.

He works in media relations. When the game first came out, I e-mailed numerous people inside the athletic dept. expressing my frustration with how Arizona was represented in the game (uniforms being wrong for 3 years, our video board being left out for 2 years) & asked if anything could be done about it. He's been in contact with me and EA since my first e-mail to them, and everything he told me as far as updates has been correct. I've posted his e-mails to me in the Uniform Update thread, so feel free to search it if you need some validation.

I could give 2 you know whats if anyone believes me or not. I'm not looking for any credit, all I'm doing is trying to share info with the community. I don't own a computer, & like I said I don't know to link from my iPhone, & when I can get on a computer I'll copy & paste the e-mails.

I guess all we can do is wait and see. I hoping this isn't true, but from what he's told me so far since my first contact with him I have no reason to not believe it.

While it wouldn't shock me, the fact that there was a mention on the PSN website about a new uniform pack and their twitter say to stay tuned, I would venture to guess there will be some new ones.

If that's the case then I'm hoping they have a bunch of completed uniforms in testing that will eventually be put in the Uniform Store.

Personally I got my hopes up that it would have been structured in a way where adding them to 13 would also have them ready (or needing minor tweaks) for 14 (so by adding them to the uniform store this year, they were also "working on 14"). Maybe next year?

The PS Blog said the Adidas Strategy Pack 2 was being released soon, with Wisconsin, Nebraska, and ND.
