OMG can you believe it, the NBA does this in real life. Get over it and quit acting like it's unrealistic.

They may do it in real life but they don't show the same video every time.

Please tell me you are not that idiotic? It's the intro video, of course it's gonna be the same every time. Don't like it? Skip it.

I've had atleast 4 different videos. But even so what is the difference from last season when before everygame they just flashed players and stats in front of the screen EXACTLY the same every game.

I'm just saying if this is the biggest reason people are complaining about then they should be happy that means the gameplay must be pretty good.

If it were some white techno BS band most of these dudes wouldn't be complaining. I say ignore em.

To be fair, I am just as annoyed with these pre-game pop star montages in real life as I am on video games. However, clearly the argument can be made that if they occur in real life, it makes sense to have them on a video game that stresses broadcast realism.

With that said, the link provided was a playoff intro montage if I'm not mistaken. This would be in contrast to an exhibition game between the Kings and the Rockets, which still draws one of a limited number of pop montages in 2K13. To be honest, if the montages in 2K13 were only for the specialist of occasions, maybe I wouldn't feel so negatively about them (though I'd always have a certain disdain regardless because as I mentioned, I think they're lame in rea life too).

Further, aside from the fact the real life pop montages come about prior to big games (as opposed to nearly every game, as is the case in 2K13), the real life montages also give way to a professional broadcast. 2K13's montages give way to an Austin Powers III inspired golden explosion. On TNT, we'd see Linkin Park in the intro and then never again. In 2K13, Jay-Z is the friend who never leaves the party, even after everyone else is already gone. He's just sitting there, waiting, plotting.

The good news is the intros are skippable. I'm actually interested in watching them at first. I just find the setup a little ridiculous, knowing most games of basketball that I'm playing on my XBox 360 are going to be pre-faced by a Jay-Z music video.

                Kind of a stupid assumption.

I don't really care one way or another for jay z being in the intro, it's just an intro who cares? I didn't think people were making a huge deal about it anyway.
