Myplayer getting benched

Again this year? really 2k? I have a pg on the hawks. I became a starter like ten games back. Get like 25 points a game 10 assists. Just a wee bit better than devon harris. And yet again harris is starting over me again. For no reason. Why?

I feel your pain. After only 2-3 games I moved up to 6th man. The very next game the coach said I deserve a role increase, of course I'm thinking starter.
Not only was I reduce back to role player but in my place as the starter was our 3rd string SF.

That is freaking stupid man.So i had a 45 point game and went back to starting. Then the next game i am back to 6th man. Is this happening to nobody else? Is this going to keep happening every season? Help?

I'm glad my player is a "Certified Beast" and don't/didn't have that problem.... It took me a few games to become a starter though....

I'm not having the specific problem you're talking about, yet....I'm about 50 games in and the complaint I have is I'm averaging like 25 points a game as the 6th man and when I'm on fire in the fourth, it never fails that I'm taken out of close games half way through the quarter...never to return, sometimes return with a few seconds on the clock...It's ridiculous.

I play every game in myplayer. First two months, I was 6th men and started earning minutes then got promoted as a starter. But as soon as I make few mistakes... like consecutive turnovers or calling time outs to give myplayer stamina, my coach started giving me hell. He told me to start thinking about what I did in bench. Once game finished, when I check the rotations screen, my minute was deducted 4~10 minutes for some small mistakes I made even though I was MVP of the game or had a triple double game.

I'm gonna get him fired when I become a star. LOL.

Anyway, I repeated this process about 5 times. Each time it took me about 4 games to earn my spot again. In my third month, I've been making solid production so I think I'm good. You will eventually earn your spot.

That's crazy. I finish every game on the court weather we are winning/losing and it doesn't matter if its a close game or not. I don't start either btw.

Why are you guys complaining, you get to play less minutes and you still score a lot. Perfect situation, better than playing 40 mins a game.

Also, now you can win: 1. Rookie of the year award 2. 6th man award 3. MVP award etc. Right?


Is it really necessary to be a starter after 20 games? That's so unrealistic, I'm ok with this mode being a lot harder and not giving you everything after so little games.

Also, now you can win: 1. Rookie of the year award 2. 6th man award 3. MVP award etc. Right?


Is it really necessary to be a starter after 20 games? That's so unrealistic, I'm ok with this mode being a lot harder and not giving you everything after so little games.

More minutes = more production all around = more sp or vc = higher chance at winning awards you mentioned

The amount is minimal to say the least, got that? Especially in MyPlayer mode. Easier to get VC playing the other modes.

I got frustrated too till I thought about it. It took me 9 games to become a starter even though I'm better than Greivis (I'm a pg on the hornets). Once I became a starter, LITERALLY THE NEXT GAME, I had 10 turnovers so the coach benched me and I lost my starting position. It then took me 12 more games to regain the starting position.

But one thing it taught me was that I have to be careful with the basketball like in real life.

So I'm now MUCH more aware of passes I throw and running plays...valueing EVERY possession...cause now that I got the starting job, I'll be DARNED if I'm giving it back up

Easiest way to get VC is myplayer mode, especially if you just play key games because of the multiplier.

Play key games, dominate, and you can easily get 400+ VC per 30-40 mins.

You know, I hate how 2k just decided to put "Play Next Key Game" as the first option, instead of Play Next Game because they made me **** up my entire career.

I am still having the problem. Im having a great season as a starter, on a big winning streak, 4th seed in the tough west then all of a sudden they take me out of the lineup.

I am so glad i see that this is likely a glitch, b/c i went to the GM right away to complain about minutes. If i was not put back in at starter, i was going to have coach fired, but i will chill for now since it looks like a wide spread problem.
