Week 6 MNF: Denver Broncos (2-3) vs San Diego Chargers (3-2)

Desperation game for Broncos. I got Chargers winning 24-21 in OT.

    Desperation game? No.

Sure, a game they would like to win but it's not the end of the season if they don't.

Pretty much and it's not like the Broncos have lost to bad teams. All 3 at the hands of top teams so far in the season. Everyone knew the schedule was brutal before the start so this record is right around what was to be expected.

Defense can't be giving up conversions on 3rd and long. Also not alot of wins will come when the defense allows that many points.

Thomas hopefully won't fumble after a catch. That changed the complexion of the early game especially when taking the ball to start the game.

If there's one game I actually think the Chargers can win, it's this one.

Peyton Manning doesn't scare the Chargers.

Well I gotta start Rivers on my fantasy team because Brees is on bye, so I hope the Chargers win. I also have Gates and Ryan Mathews.

I really want to pick San Diego, but its San Diego and if there is one team that has proven to be a perennial underachiever it is the Chargers.

            I will say Denver.

I don't get all this desperation talk. It's week 6. The only teams that are desperate at this time are win-less or 1 win teams..and that also depends on the rest of the division.

It may not be desperation, but it's a pretty important game. If Denver loses, they are essentially three games behind the Chargers for the division lead, making their home game against the Chargers a must-win game.

If Denver wins, they are sitting pretty good given the schedule they have played so far. Denver has played well in SD in the past, and this is a much better team than they've had in the past.

If Denver can figure out how to limit their mistakes, I think they take this one.

If one team isn't afraid of Manning its the Chargers. They own him an I expect a close fought win by the Chargers

Broncos signed a former LSU track and field guy Trindon Holliday, 5'5". Going to be returning kicks hopefully since its been lackluster for Denver lately. He averaged something around 40 yds per KR according to Broncos tweet

The only good thing about the Chargers season so far is that they haven't lost to a divisional opponent yet. Hopefully that won't change Monday.

Manning definitely hasn't had his best games against the Chargers but, its an actual rival now so I got a toss up. They're on a 2 game losing streak and I can see a 3rd coming soon. I'm almost beginning not to even care anymore at least for a while so it'll be one less thing that creates less stress.

All the people talking "Peyton Manning struggles against the Chargers"
That is stupid, he's on a different team operating under different players and a somewhat different scheme.

Anyways, if Thomas doesn't freakin fumble after a long catch and no Manning picks again, Broncos win.

As a charger fan , i wholeheartedly see any of the following happen:

                              1. Royal fumbling punts/kr against his former team
                              2. Rivers getting sacked at least 5 times today
                              3. If on a 2 minute drill with Rivers to tie or gain the lead, he will either fumble, get picked off, sacked, or sacked/fumbled.
                              4. If the Chargers are up by at least 10 in the 4th quarter, and have a good running game going, they win this game.

I see a Charger loss, mainly since Miller and Dumervil would be too much for the Chargers O-line.

                              I hope i'm wrong.
