Sound Off: Your 2012-13 NBA Champions are __?

The Heat won it all last season and as we enter the new year, they are once again among the short list of contenders for the crown. The Thunder and new look Lakers look to be among the top teams in the West. San Antonio figures to be good as well. In the east, the Celtics and Pacers are factors but the real wild card is the Chicago Bulls. Is Derrick Rose healthy? If so the Bulls figure to challenge the Heat, if not then the Bulls chances obviously take a huge hit.

So what do you think? Who is in your projected 2012-13 NBA Finals? Who do you have winning?

    Sound off!

Hate to be a homer, but the 2012-2013 champions are the Miami Heat.

If teams can figure out how to use their size as an advantage, Boston can rival Miami in the East.

And if the Heat make it to the Finals again, then I think OKC can rival them - maybe even the Lakers since Dwight can possibly be a game-changer on the defensive end.

Heat because they've got the chemistry that the Lakers don't.

Simple....the Los Angeles Lakers. Everyone can get off the Heat bandwagon. Last year was a shortened season so disregard it. Let's see how the Heat due in an 82 game schedule. Last time they did I believe they lost in the Finals.

I'm going to say the Heat. However the final four is going to be Miami, Boston, LA Clippers and OKC. It'll be one of those four winning it all.

2012-2013 champs will be the Los Angeles Lakers. I don't think the Heat will stay healthy for a full 82 games and they barely made it this year out of the east. Boston, Indiana, Brooklyn, New York and Indiana are all better teams this year. They added more shooters, but no one to pick up the post play slack and the decline of Wade (injuries). Tough road for them. I see the Finals being LA and Boston for the zillionth time.

Unfortunately, it’s gonna be the Heat again this year. The mental aspect of LeBron’s game has finally caught up to his physical skill. Last year proves that he FINALLY knows he’s the best player on the planet and he can do as he pleases on an NBA court on any given night. Neither the Lakers nor Thunder have a Lebron so I’m giving the edge to the Heat. Sorry but current day Kobe nor Durant ain't good enough.

Thank God Wizzleman is not on these boards anymore.

Heat's my pick if I'm a betting man.

But I think the Thunder can squeeze in there, and I think alot will have to do with Perry Jones development.

The Spurs Got It this year. They got the best team chemistry, Best Coach, Plays the best fundamental basketball, and Veterans. We lost to okc in the playoffs because of the refs(if you dont agree you didnt even watch the game closely enough) and our players choked example, Bonner, Green, Leonard. But this year Spurs are ready

Lakers. Who can stop the pick-and-roll, the pick-and-pop, Dwight on single coverage, and Kobe facing no more double teams? Plus we have a legitimate bench this year, and better shooting...not like it's Miami Heat snipers but better and at least more legitimate. Plus Dwight transformed the Orlando freakin' Magic to a Top 5 defense year in and year out. Who was their next best defensive player? Hedo? Jameer Nelson? We have two good perimeter defenders in Kobe and MWP, and Nash still only gave up 0.82 points-per-possession, and his woes against guarding "faster" point guards...check the advanced stats...they played average against Nash, at least to their per game stats, or just below. Plus who knows how mentally fired up Kobe is going to be, knowing he has his best chance he will EVER get to tie his idol, Michael Jordan in rings.

                              Bench? Not so much.

But the Lakers have probably the best starting five in basketball right now.
