50 CAW slots in WWE '13

    Confirmed.

However, nearly 25-30 of the guys I'd be creating are now already in the game -- thanks to Attitude Era -- so the 50 slot thing isn't bad.

Although, I've always wished for 100-150...especially since the majority of my CAWs this year will be Marvel and DC superheroes lol

I expected this from the beginning. You only need about 35 to catch every major champion from the era. Rest fill with other key superstars from the era. 100 would be overkill, but nice.

Still leaves me with 28 spots after I get the TNA Stars I want.

For Fire Pro fans like me 100 is just getting started:wink:. I could easily go 20-30 ECW and indy guys and 50 NWA/WCW guys and a bunch of 80's and 90's WWF legends that won't be in. 100 would be nice.

yea its good they leave it a 50 or fewer.. otherwise LOAD times and comm creations would be overflowed.

But i now can have those slots for CAWs plus with turning people on/off for a show now , itll be really cool have guest apperances now.. instead of them showing up on a show when you really dont need them too

But I'm only focusing on 97-02 so 50 is plenty unless you really want a lot of the low-card guys that popped on Raw a time or two in that period.

Well I got my CAW list down to 50 + 8 misc. I imagine some of these may be hard to find. I may have to hunt down some excellent CAW creators as if I really try to get DOA and Los Boricuas in the game... yea, that seems like a stretch. But would be nice to have some gang/stable wars. Just look at all the stables possible with this and the in-game roster

                DOA
                Nation
                Hart Foundation
                DX
                Los Boricuas
                Radicalz
                Corporation
                Ministry

4 possible stables involving Alliance wrestlers
                WCW Main Eventers
                WCW Mid-carders
                ECW Main eventers
                ECW Mid-carders

I also had the Truth Commission, but chose to use Buchanan's later gimmick and used Kurrgan over The Interrogator. The Oddities and JOB Squad I also eliminated, but those are potential backups. Mean Street Posse is yet another.

                Shawn Stasiak
                The Blue Meanie

IF YOU SEE ANY SEVERE OVERSIGHTS PLEASE POINT THEM OUT. I went through the champions from mid-97 through the brand extension and also looked at PPV appearances and then weeded out from there so I might have accidently deleted someone I shouldn't have. Overall, though, i think this is very representative of ~August 97 where the game begins all the way into the start of the Invasion.

Watching '98 Royal Rumble now. More possible backups:

                  Tiger Ali Singh
                  Dan Severn
Big Bossman (Def. needs a spot)
Prince Albert (Def. needs a spot)
                  Gangrel (Def. needs a spot)
                  Godfather (Def. needs a spot)

                  I'll keep looking.

I'd definitely include these guys over the likes of Ron & Don Harris, Brian Lee, Jose Estrada, Jesus Castillo, and even Neidhart and Vega (both were real big right before the Attitude Era, but their careers really started to wind down when it first took off. I'd say even Essa Rios is more important than these guys. Former Lightweight Champion I believe and he brought Lita in at the beginning. Dan Severn feuded with Steve Blackman during the Lion's Den days, and is a good compliment to Blackman, Hart, and Shamrock. I'd even consider replacing Hugh Morrus who did little except for backstage work. Sean O'Haire should stay because he was an intriguing prospect even though he never got anywhere. Stasiak had a decent role as Stasiak then Meat. He was crap though so I can see leaving him out.

Sorry if some of these guys are in the game. I don't have it yet.

4 of those you listed are already in the game as DLC with Albert as Tensai of course. Tiger Ali Singh barely wrestled and was more prominent as a manger with D'Lo later in the Attitude era than he ever was a wrestler. DOA and Los Boricuas were on Raw weekly and had several PPV matches in 97 and 98. If I were to get rid of one team, it would be Los Boricuas; DOA, although never tag champions, were around for quite awhile. Dan Severn was never really utilized either. He had the Brawl for All appearance and had a run in the 98 KOTR tournament, but that was about it. Essa Rios only really appeared on Sunday Night Heat; he did have an appearance as Aguila at a PPV I believe. If I were to drop Morrus, I'd replace him with Justin Credible, but seeing as Bill Demott is still associated with the company today, I took him over Justin. I was going to keep O'Haire no matter what, more as part of the Natural Born Thrillers than anything he was post-Invasion.

I'd like to retract my previous statement.

50 CAW Slots are not enough for me this year.

Yea when I first read this thread, I was like really 50 slots is not enough?! But I realize now how many more I would need to get all the WCW guys and my own CAWs..but I can make 50 work but I do wish I had more

50 slots is not enough for me, either. Last night I decided to just get rid of a bunch of my TNA CAWs. They were solid, but I just don't know enough about TNA to include them in a meaningful way in my universe, so I found some old school ECW guys and I think they'll be a better fit for me.

And, incredibly, despite having Mankind, Dude Love, and Cactus Jack... I found myself needing just plain ol' Mick Foley so I spent a slot on him. May DL that sweet Shawn Michaels CAW I saw in CC also.... just can't stomach the 'Sexy Boy' bit.

I wish there was more than 50 slots, especially considering the fact of if you wanted to have vintage managers just for the sake of having Bobby Heenan accompanying saying Mr Perfect down to the ring.

Has there ever been a rational explanation of why they capped it out at 50?

I don't know about any official statement of why - but the game is a huge memory hog already so maybe that was part of the thinking.

And speaking of managers - I sure wish this game handled managers differently b/c they're kinda useless... Having to assign them for each match rather than attach them to a guy as a permanent fixture stinks and having the AI book managers constantly in matches gets old quick.
