Yeah. People argue on here saying the defense isn't a problem in the game, but rather, it's our skill. Please. How can you play defense in the game, when stuff like this happens every other play.

Lol.. 2k13 seems like it was deliberately made for cheesers this year.. At least stuff like this didn't happen in 11 & 12.

This is my main issue with 13. Everything else can be fixed by adjusting rosters, sliders or a combo of both.

While I agree with you, I don't think people should be forced to default to manual setting configurations to have decent gameplay. It should be the other way around; by default the gameplay should be balanced and ideal to truly enjoy the game. Then you can opt to tweak and adjust as necessary.

It's probably this new physics engine I'm hearing about. Maybe they should have just built off the existing games rather than starting something from scratch that likely wasn't very thoroughly tested before the retail version came out.

I also mentioned those in all my patch fixes for 2K13.

The biggest one is knocking the defender backwards and sliding them back with no charge.

Simulation slider settings provide a very good base for a good game. In order to maximize the sim engine though we still have to fine tune it just like a car engine in order to get better performance out of it.

As for the physics, they don't have a true physics engine, they have built an animation mixer basically (they named it the 'Dynamic Shot Generator' to blend animation together to simulate a physics engine.

Another new feature would be the Dynamic Shot Generator.
This feature is similar to what Madden 13 put out a few weeks ago. NBA 2K13 will now feature a unique physics system in the game that makes the gameplay beyond realistic. Every time you touch a player it alters your dribble or shot. It will make the game so much more exciting and realistic.

From what I see, is that there isn't enough points of contact for the Generator to spit out a proper blend, so instead we get a morph through. Hopefully they can tune the Generator in the patch, otherwise we'll probably have to wait until 14.

Side note: They need to make the skeletal structure solid, but they'll more than likely need more power in order to do that, as if you go down that path you're gonna end up having to put in some kind of true physics in order to get it to work (look) properly. (ie. arms bouncing back instead of going straight through other arms, think ragdoll in shooters)

I think its just that most would go to the impressions or bugs and glitches thread and say say some thing of this sort"one area that id like improved is colisions under the rim, and i notice clipping more than id like to see"
but when someone comes and accuses them of not even testing arguably the best sports game weve ever seen, you tend to loose steam.

maybe i have low expectations, but im impressed at how they have cramed all these animations into this game not have more clipping and bad situational physics pop up. ive never played antyhing even close.

100% agree, after paying 60 for a game, default settings should have been already tested and tweaked.

If this doesn't get fixed with a patch I will seriously not buy NBA 2k14. It's frustrating for sure.
