EASHL Lag

I have searched everywhere since the game came out, but without any answers. I have 20mb download for connection, so thats not the issue. But every game I play with my EASHL team is a lag fest. I can play drop ins with out much problem just EASHL. I thought that this recent patch was supposed to clear some of these problems up, did this not take place?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have the same issue with 30mbps down and 3mbps up, 5ms ping, 0 packet loss!
I am tired of playing with a delay!

i have this problem too. Just happens out of the blue for no reason. It sucks and I have no clue why it happens. Just on Eashl too.

Drop-in uses different servers than Club.

With club, when the away team, you can be forced to users servers in:
North America East, North America West, and Europe.

So if you're not from that region, you're at a disadvantage.

The difference can range anywhere from 30-100ms for the most part.

This is why so many people quit club play if they're not the home team.

Ya it's not a good situation. I've had problems since launch, and it was so unplayable during launch, that I stopped EASHL altogether until two weeks ago, and the lag seems quite a bit better for me now.

I also have a 50Mbps down and 5 Mbps up and it was brutal for me. The worst part is my friends who dont know squat about computer sciences were telling me it was my connection(when I had just finished playing fifa OTP while download a game from Steam @ 2Mbps and streaming a soccer match with zero lag.

I read somewhere, I cant remember where that EA messed up the network balancing system. So, when you have people playing a game online, supposed to be in sync, but they have different transfer rates, it's a real task to balance and smooth out the gameplay so it feels like youre controlling the game and that its flowing nicely. In reality there's a lot of prediction going on under the hood, and this person stated that EA had messed up the balancing state for people with overpowered networks. I'd have to say that I agree, especially since everyone I've read talk about this has had a better than average connection.

By contrast, some of my friends who have average to lower than average internet connections were reporting no problems at all.

I agree with you for the most part, and it makes a whole lot of sense what youre saying, but I was in drop-in and lobby matches with my friends who live down the street and have inferior internet connections, yet they had a perfectly smooth game experience while mine was *brutal*

Everytime i play an eashl club match a few things are happening

1) i ALWAYS.. always get hit and nudged off the puck. it seems as if i can't enter the zone without being targeted, and i mean it's impossible to stay on my feet

2) my computer always shoots the puck off a faceoff win, it never fails to happen. I win a face off and they blast all the time.

3) computer defence can't keep up with other teams forwards, often making silly mistakes that give the other team 6-7 break aways a game.


if anybody can tell me what im doing wrong, or what i can do to fix this it would be greately appreciated.

Is it a internet problem, do i have to upgrade my internet package??

1) Are the players checking you so that you fall over? Upgrade your balance to counteract that, I also have heard that the hitting sliders are messed up so that may be why to.
2) Is it going to the defenseman on those face-offs? The defenseman will always shoot if they get it on the point.
3) Computer defenseman are stupid, it's best if you can find two competent defensemen who don't want to be Bobby frickin Orr all the time and who can actually play defense. Unless they can be good offensive defenseman, then go ahead.

No absolutely not. Depending on what other games you play, there is far more going on internet-wise with a game of fifa, madden, cod and bf3. It's just a poorly produced part of the game.

Unfortunately, I cannot play ANY EA Sports games online, without lag. I am always at a disadvantage becuase of the lag.

However, the porblem I am experiencing is due to there not being any servers in my region. I am living in Japan & EA Sports doesn't have any servers in the Asia region.

I had the same problem with the Battlefield series until Battlefield 3 came out & EA created servers in Asia. Now I can play Battlefield very minor lag issues.

However, the division of EA that makes the sports games doesn't seem to have any plans to create servers for its customers living in Asia.

You guys living in Europe & the North America are lucky. You may get lag, here & there, but I have it EVERYTIME I play online, & to me, playing online with team mates is much more personally rewarding, because I feel like I am not just playing for myself, I am playing for my team mates, as well.

Sadly, the Asian hockey market isn't large at all. I'm not entirely sure, but i think FIFA has decent Asian support. It's too bad that the option of playing online isnt there for you.

I blame Japan's own goal for messing up hockey in Asian countries ... But yeah, that stinks.

Yeah, i sucks, but I will be moving back to the United States next year! : Or, wait a second, the economy sucks right now.

: to being able to play with no lag. for everything else.
