Week 11: San Diego Chargers (4-5) @ Denver Broncos (6-3)

This game is critical to the AFC West. A Broncos win will mean they will own the tie breaker in the division, giving the Broncos a theoretical two-game swing if they win. A win for the Chargers gets them back to .500 and within a game of the Broncos. However, this game is at Mile High, and the Broncos are coming off a 4-game win streak (with 3 on the road).

Several scenarios can play out here:

    1) The Chargers were embarrassed in the first game between the two teams, and are looking for revenge. Having lost to Tampa Bay also stings, so San Diego will be motivated.

    2) The Broncos are back home after back to back road games. While Mile High is typically tough to play at, the Broncos might come home feeling a little too good and could come out flat.

This game will be over quickly if the Broncos are able to get out to an early lead. If that happens, the San Diego offensive line is in for some nightmares, and Rivers will be under pressure all day long. However, if San Diego can survive and hang around, they'll be able to stick to a game plan. San Diego will be ruined if they feel they have to keep pace with the Broncos.

For the Broncos, the key will be turnovers. If they can avoid turnovers on offense and get a lead, that will result in creating turnovers on the defensive side. For the Chargers, it's going to be imperative to keep the game close and not feel the need to get into a shoot out. They will also need to find an answer for Von Miller, so seems to be hitting a mid-season stride.

If Denver wins, I don't see SD overtaking them for the AFC West lead.

Haha this game was fun last time. For some reason I think the chargers will pull this one out though.

        LOL.
        Sorry, I had to.
        The Chargers, motivated?
I don't think I have ever said that.

But I mean, anything could happen I guess.

Give me the Broncos at home, 34-20.

Mmhmm, memories of a monumental late-season collapse are still fresh in my mind. Might even be in the mind of Mike Shanahan still. That's why everytime I hear "Denver has it wrapped up," I cringe a bit.

I think the Chargers are done. I don't even know if I hope I'm wrong, as a turnaround/playoff appearance could feasibly keep Norv Turner around. I don't wish anything bad for anyone, but I'm done supporting him as the head coach of this football team. He's clearly not the right guy for the job. Same goes for AJ Smith at GM.

A Chargers win would give them life in the AFC West. This IS a must win for both teams which = "motivation."

Broncos offense needs to figure out its timing. Defense is holding up its end

Has any game clearly highlighted the Chargers problems starting with the oline more clearly than this one so far?

Lets go Broncos. San Diego must lose to keep Buffalo's playoff hopes alive.

Rivers looks awful. O-line isn't helping, but man.
