Re: Playoff Standings

Buffalo has a fairly legitimate shot at that wildcard spot if they can beat Indy this week. After that we have Jacksonville, St. Louis, Seattle, Miami and New York.

A very winnable schedule. Indy has a fairly tough road ahead as well.

My predictions for the AFC:

Pittsburgh 9-7 Pittsburgh limps through the end of the season.
Buffalo 9-7 Buffalo makes a strong run against sub par opponents.
Colts 8-8 Colts struggle with a tough remainder of their schedule.
Chargers 8-8 Chargers are the Chargers. Perennial under-performers.
Bengals 7-9 Cincy struggles to finish the season.
Jets 6-10 New York gets blown out by NE and never recovers.
Titans 6-10 They improve as a team but just struggle with a hard schedule.
Dolphins 5-11 Their schedule is too tough for this team to overcome.

Seahawks would be the 6th seed right now, not Minnesota.

If the playoffs started today, Seattle would travel to Green Bay in the first round. That would be hilarious.

Texans can clinch a playoff berth this week if they win AND the Dolphins, Jets, Bengals and either the Chargers OR the Steelers lose this week.

I think that's too much to happen in one week.

Actually, based on my picks (doesn't mean much but I did go 13-1 last week), the Bengals loss is the only one that would be a complete shock. I expect PIT to win but considering all the circumstances, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if they don't. All the rest I expect to happen.

Of course it all means nothing bc I don't see the Texans losing out after this week so they'll be fine.

I think it's safe to say that the 4 AFC Division Leaders will be the Top 4 seeds in the playoffs.
