I'm so tired of this (EA's help regarding salary cap issue)

My conversation with an EA Game Advisor today. Same as all the other "answers."

you: Well, I'm in an online league in Madden 13
you: we've encoutered this problem where a lot of teams have salary caps of "$-1.336M"
you: It's completely ruined the league for all 26 guys
    you: What can we do?
you: I guess my question is: Is this going to be fixed at all? it's a game killer.
Johnathan: So you're having an issue in the online league with the Salary cap being -1.336 million for everyone?
you: Not everyone. People are getting it randomly each season.
you: I have it right now.
you: I guess it's a widespread issue from what I've read.
Johnathan: Okay. So it should have been addressed in the latest patch that came out for Madden. If it didn't I would recommend trying to start a new league just to see if it's showing there.
you: It won't allow you to re-sign players, or participate in Free Agency
you: I have. We tested an online league and ran into the issue again.
you: We don't know what triggers the problem, only that it appears to happen at random and we can't make it go away.
Johnathan: That's really strange. Do you mind if I take a few moments to look in to this to see if there's anything we can do to correct that?
    you: Sure!
    Johnathan: Thank you.
you: From what I've read on different forums (EA, Operation Sports, Tradition Sports) it's happening in every single online league. There is a lot of rage today due to Title Update #4 not addressing the issue.
Johnathan: I'm seeing the exact same thing. What I'll do is I will speak to some of my higher ups about it and see if I can point out some of the forum posts to see what we can do to get this taken care of. Other than that, at this point, it is a known issue and there isn't anything I can really troubleshoot at this time to get it corrected.
you: Ok, understood. I just wanted to know if this was going to be fixed or not, because it would pointless for us to carry on with the game if it's not going to be fixed.
Johnathan: I completely understand. We are working to get it corrected and I'll point it out again to see if we can get anything going sooner.
Johnathan: Do you have any other questions for me?
you: No, that's it. Thank you for your time.

If they will not do a update5 to fix salary cap problem and other important problems...Ea really drop the ball then.

Right now they seem more focus in more convenient problems...like related with MUT.

      Abut the cap glitch...

Has anyone tried leaving a franchise and then re-joining the same franchise with the same team to see if the glitch is gone?

Admittedly it's not ideal to leave, but if it works, it's a workaround.

        lol what a canned conversation.

at one point he said it should have been fixed in a patch, then later says they are working on a solution.

The problem is you were way too polite. I'm reading the conversation and I'm thinking "OK, this is where Johnathan's mother gets involved." And it never happened. And I started thinking it by like the 3rd or 4th thing he said.

              Haha...

You're totally right. I went in with a "take no prisoners" attitude, but I just couldn't do it.

I think the guy did what he could. Honestly, what do you expect a level 1 online chat guy to do? Reprogram the game himself? It's not his fault the developers suck.

I don't expect him to do anything and am not saying he's done anything wrong.

I'm just stating that the words are hollow because he's just reading a script, very common for CSR's to do so. So don't take anything said with any level of confidence.

Actually that looked like free-formed writing by Jonathan. He actually took time out to formulate a response and not used a canned script. To be honest he went over and above than most customer service reps would do. Focus on the problem and not on the customer service.

it is absolutely inredible to leave such a "glitch" in the game... this completely kills offline career mode! how is that possible?

Actually, it kills offline AND online. It's not an offline or online only issue. Imagine being in a 32 team league and having this crap happen to 4 or 5 guys. It's a game killer - yet we have Looman bragging about the number of CCM leagues created. Talk about being out of touch...

Is there an actual step-by-step process for why this happens? Or is it somewhat random? Not really my area, but just curious more than anything.

Is it like the NCAA transfer issue that didn't really have a step-by-step process either?

Random. No one has been able to determine why it happens. The cap space is still there, but it displays as being -1340 billion and won't allow those guys to re-sign players or participate in free agency.

Yeah I mean I know about the bug, and all that, but I just wanted to make sure that it was random. I tried to make it happen in a couple test CCMs and couldn't get it to trigger so that's why I asked to confirm.

It's got to be frustrating to track down both from an internal and external perspective.
