Ok...so I have Mike Jenkins on the trade block...I get a few offers...I choose the one I like(for 3 draft picks). I clock accept and it says that i would be over the salary cap by making this move...ME....the team trading a paid player for future draft picks....ummm huh? Anyone else go through this/know why its happening?

What's left of his signing bonus might be greater than his salary... so with the penalty it might put you over the cap.

Yeah I had to free up some cap space...figured it out right after posting lol...thanks for the help thou!

Gotta love the guaranteed money part of the game. Just imagine if you went player for player. That would have sucked.

You also have to take into account that computer reserves part of the salary cap for the draft picks projected salary.
