MLB 13 The Show Uniform Updates

We have the stadium thread, so it's about time we get this one going.


1. Post any uniform updates that have occurred over the winter.

2. Also post any errors that need fixing on the uniforms from MLB 12 in hopes they will be corrected in MLB 13.

3. BE SURE TO POST PICTURES. Especially for uniform fixes. Post a screenshot of the error in MLB 12 in addition to how it should look like in real life. IMO, if you don't have any pictures, you might not as well post it.

1. Pause the game and go into replay.
2. Find the uniform error you are looking for.
3. Press the PS button and press the left button until you get to the Photo catagory on the UI.
4. Press X on the "Save Screenshot" choice.
5. Press X again to save your screenshot.

4. Remember that the devs are required to follow the MLB Style Guide. Do not get angry or throw a fit if something is incorrect or doesn't get fixed for MLB 13.

2013 St. Louis Cardinals uniforms.

The Cardinals added a Saturday, Home Alternate uniform for the 2013 season as well as made a number of changes to their current uniform.

It is a cream color uniform with a single red stripe down the pant, a red stripe around the sleeve cuffs, and a red headspoon. The script says St. Louis and the "S" hooks over the bat.


There are not many good pictures of the red stripe down the pant, that's why it's bolded.

Now as for the normal uniform changes.


Jerseys: First two attached pictures.
They said they updated the BotB logo, but you guys need not worry. You have already had this updated logo in the game for years.

The front uniform numbers have also been shrunken by 1/2 an inch.


Pants and belt: The only change is the primary road pants should now have a red belt, while the alternate road pants should now have a blue belt.


Hats: Nothing has changed in regards to the primary home or alternate home hats.

The same changes that occurd with the belts have also occured with the road hats. The primary road hat is red, while the alternate road hat is the blue hat.
The Sunday bird hat should be taken away from the road uniforms template in MLB 13. The red hat should be in the primary slot and the blue hat in the alternate slot

There is no set rule in which the blue hats and belts will be worn on the road.

Shoes: No changes in shoes. They are all red.

Just like in the stadium thread, it's not so much an update, just a fix in terms of coloring....

Jays alternate jersey is diff shade of blue in the game, compared to how it is in real life. I guess that can partially be as a result of the fact that Jays never wore them before the game was released(and only pics we really saw of it,was from the jersey reveal press conference)

The Pirates also added a new Sunday Alternate. It's really just their 1971 uniform, which is already in the game.

BUT there are multiple errors...

Hat: You need to get rid of the black stripes on the hat as well as making the yellow darker. It needs to match the mustard color on the sleeves.



Jersey: The front looks great for the most part, but you might need to make the "Pirates" vertically arched. It may not look like it's vertically arched from the real photo, but if you watch the video, it is. Also change the font of the front numbers to varsity block, sans serif (I think). The same font the Cardinals use today.

You need to add the name to the back of the uniform as well as change the font of the numbers to a normal varsity block, sans serif (I think). The same font the Cardinals use today.

It would also be great if you created a pullover template for MLB 13 to go with a desired elastic waistband pants template. If you did, that needs to be this uniform. If you didn't, oh well.

Pants: The pants are also supposed to have an elastic waistband. Unless you guys developed a pair of pants with the elastic waistband, which would contradict that Jose Reyes screenshot, you don't have to touch the pants already in the game. The striped belt must do.

The Mets have unveiled two new alternate uniforms. One home and one away.

For the Jays (based on MLB 12):

The alternate jersey (and shade of blue in general for hats and accessories) is too dark.



Compared to





(Bit of difference in lighting between the 3 pictures but the point still stands that the jersey still shouldn't be as dark as it is in game.)

On the away jerseys, there should be a white stripe in between the blue stripes on the arms and pants.



In MLB 12 (stolen from ACmilan's dynasty):



Finally, the placement of the Jays logo on the front of all 3 jerseys seems to be a little off (compare to above Romero shot from MLB 12 and the shot below - again from ACmilan's dynasty).






Also, there seems to be an issue with the "W" on the nameplates. Don't have a picture but if you take a look at Brandom Morrow in the game you'll see that there's a bit of an outline that shouldn't be there.

Washing Nationals wear red undershirts under all their uniforms as well as red socks, but in the MLB the Show, they wear blue undershirts on the road as well as blue socks, which is wrong.

Arizona Diamondbacks wear red undershirts underneath their red alternate jersey, but in MLB the Show, they wear black undershirts underneath.

We need a thread on Jays altogether(for jerseys,stadium ect lol).

It might be more organized if each team had it's own thread on here(for jeresys and stadium combined).

Jays with one of best looking jerseys in the whole league(stated by not just Jays fans,but other teams also) so something like a completely wrong color, is something that should be fixed. And with Jays being as good as they'll be in 2013, you can expect alot more people to be using them. Some(like fans of NL teams) because Jays might be their new fave AL team, others cause Jays will be one of best in the game, so they wanna use Jays for online play.

Please ask Sony if they can Fix Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz alternate home jersey helmet!

When Carlos Ruiz is catching his helmet should be "BLUE" with the red tip the same as what he and the rest of his team wears when they are batting using the alternate home jersey for afternoon home games.

In MLB 12 The Show he is wearing his all "RED" helmet with the alternate home jerseys and thats wrong. He only wears the all "RED" helmet with their regular pin stripe home jerseys that they wear for night games.

I reported this well before MLB 12 The Show came out and it was never fixed for some reason. So if you could get this corrected before MLB 13 The Show is released that would be fantastic!
