NFC Wild Card Weekend: Seattle Seahawks (5) @ Washington Redskins (4)

Ah finally, Russell Wilson vs RG3. This is the most entertaining wild card game on paper. Both teams have strong running games and dynamic rookie QB's, and both are coming off losing seasons last year. To have these teams not only make the playoffs but play each other is amazing. Can't wait for this one.

I am HYPED for this matchup. That Washington offense is going to test the hell out of the Seahawks defense. Can't wait!

I do not like Seattle on the road in the playoffs after the game they had at home today. Plus, RG3 gets another week to recuperate from his injury. The only thing that is certain is that at least one rookie QB will win a playoff game this year. Give me the Redskins by a score of something like 23-16 or so.

Seahawks haven't won a road playoff game since 1983. So there's that.

Redskins haven't won the NFC East since 1999. So there's that.

I think it depends on the health of RGIII but it'll be an interesting game as both teams play basically the same offense with Washington having a bit of a wrinkle in that they throw in the classic Denver run blocking scheme to the table. I think it'll be a close game.

It will all depend on which defense can handle the read option best.

Mr. Claiborne did a good job of locking up garçon so hopefully Sherman can do the same. Seattle gets its other corner back so that will be nice. Morris really scares me. Wagner will need to put on his big boy pads. I would be really optimistic about Seattle's offense but after today the offensive line has me worried.

Regardless it will be a fun game. Even if the Redskins win I will be rooting for them to go all the way.

Game is gonna be a war. Both teams have strong running games. I would give the defensive advantage to Seattle, while I say Washington has better wide receivers. QB is a wash. I do think Mike Shanahan is a better head coach that Pete Carroll.

I can't pick against my boys. Skins 24-21.

Is that based on what Shanahan has done in Washington or what he has done throughout his career?

Russell Wilson and what he has done this season and throughout his college career proves that the so called experts no very little about athletes transitioning to the NFL and football fans don't know anything at all about it. There were so many ppl saying this kid would not be a good QB in the NFL I swear I wish I could remember every post I read in all the football forums I was in the start of this year.

Moral of the story...Wait until a guy steps on the field before you pass judgment. Hawks easy in this game. 38-16.

Whichever you choose. This is Shanny's 3rd year in DC, he spent the better part of these three turning over a roster devoid of talent, into what it is today. Division champs. I'm not gonna say he hasn't made mistakes along the way. McNabb, for one, thinking John Beck is an NFL QB is another. But he also found Morris in the 6th rounds and Rob Jackson has developed into a player. His record in DC is still under .500 but it is what it is. I stand behind my statement.

First year that Shanny had a QB he won the division so go figure. He has improved the level of talent on this team from year one to now. Who knows what he could've done with another 18 million in cap space for the defense.
