Re: Shot Stick or X Shooting
Shot stick lets you pick if you want to lean, step back, spin, hop, or just pull up all while not having to worry about using the left stick or B to pull off moves. If you're having trouble, I suggest playing a bunch of quick games, once you get used to it it will become like second nature to hit that left shoulder button. It took me probably half a dozen full games to get the hang of it. Now I don't even think about it."The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws."

Re: Shot Stick or X Shooting
I use to only use the shot stick. From when nba2k implemented the shot shick till 2k12, I only used the shot stick. Now I use both, but mostly the x button to shoot. I use the shot stick for step backs, and leaners. I got nba 2k13 for the 360 this year, after years of playing it on the PS3. I don't know if its the feel of the 360 controller or placement of the right stick, I just couldn't get use to using the shot stick and LT to shoot.
I really want to switch back to using the shot stick to shoot exclusively, but I have just gotten use to using X, that I haven't even attempted to use the shot stick exclusively. The shot stick just felt so natural when shooting, in previous nba2k versions. As I typing this, you made me think about how natural using the shot stick was, so I'm going to try to switch back to the shot stick. Thank you OP.Last edited by thelakeshow; 01-07-2013, 02:10 PM.Sometimes you gotta' stand by your failures to recognize your success.Comment

Re: Shot Stick or X Shooting
I'm still mad we lost so much shooting and triple threat control in favor of And-1 style dribbling controls.
The new controls don't feel as natural, but its subjective from person to person.Comment
